I’m sure you guys all know by now that I love switching up my decor frequently. I usually add some new pieces every season to set the mood. No matter what time of year it is, I always go for coziness. Today, I’m sharing some pieces that I added from Pine Cone Hill, Dash & Albert, and Fresh American, all apart of the Annie Selke Companies.
I have a shelf in my closet dedicated to throw blankets, sheets, comforters and duvets for all the seasons. You can never have enough. Pine Cone Hill sent me over an adorable quilt for my newly built bed.
This is the Brussels Ivory Quilt. As you can see, it’s soft enough to fall asleep on in seconds…
I love the hotel feel of this quilt. One side is quilted for decorative features and the other side is soft and perfect for a comfortable sleep. The quality is impeccable.
*Front: 52% linen/48% viscose; back: 100% cotton.
*Hand quilted.
*2 ½” flange on all sides.
When I’m shopping for pieces, I like to go with neutral colors so that everything goes well together. If you are into colors and fun patterns, Pine Cone Hill has so many to choose from!
Grumples also got a new piece. He has had the same dog bed for four years. Of course, I had to teach him how to sit on it. These adorable indoor/outdoor dog beds come in so many different shapes and sizes.
They are perfect for poolside spots.
I chose the ivory color to go with the new quilt.
I can’t wait to put this rug in the living room! I’ll have those photos soon 🙂

Cute! Love your style!
1) I usually change things up marginally in the fall and obviously around Christmas. I add some fall decor and then change it at Christmas. The rest of the year, it usually stays the same! I don’t get bored too often with my decor so I don’t make major changes very often.
2) Throw pillows. I would have more on my couch but my husband won’t let me……… Ha! I also have a thing for decorative bowls and trays. I love love love trays!
3) my style is very bright and vibrant all year round. Lots of bright turquoise blues and other various shades of blue and green and yellow are the consistent colors in my house. So my style is always bright!

Thank you Emily!
1. I go all out during the season change in the fall. I’m all about that plaid…
2. I love both of those!
3. Love a bright house too!:)

I love your neutral color choice! Its such a classic, clean, and cozy look!
I also change decor for each season. I have a few seasonal signs around the apartment that get switched out and I usually switch out pillow cases, blankets and bedding for each season. I think doing so puts me more in the mood for the new season and appreciate it more!
My favorite decor is either picture frames, canvas prints, or blankets… such a hard choice to pick just one! I loving having memories all around with frames and canvases, but I also get REALLY excited for new blankets ha!
This year I’m obsessed with teal and light blue! It seems so fresh and bright for summer!
*I’m so excited to find out where the new dog bed is from! I spotted it in your last post and though it was so cute and perfect for my furry friend!

What do you do with all your extra seasonal bedding and throw pillows?
Taralynn McNitt says
I fold them and keep them on a shelf in my closet.

I have 3 Dash & Albert rugs in my house right now and I LOVE them! Can’t wait to see your’s!

Super cute! We need to get our pup a dog bed, she just has a tendency to tear them apart whenever we get her one.
As for the questions:
Usually I don’t change the decor per season, aside from the typical elements of holiday decorations, or candle scents based on the seasons.
My favorite decor pieces seem to be nik-naks. I also LOVE pallet signs (in which I make). I made one for our living room that says HOME with the state of Ohio as the O, then I have a few for one of my guest bedrooms that says “Be Our Guest” (each word on its own sign) above the bed, and then another sign I made with one of my favorite quotes by Walt Disney (I’m a Disney nerd even at 24 years old, and it seems my guest room is becoming my craft/Disney room sort of).
My favorite summer decor color seems to be an aqua/teal. By that I mean more along the lines of a shade around the Tiffany blue color. It reminds me of the beach and sun and makes me happy!

Hi Taralynn,
I love your home decor! You have such classic style 🙂 I always use your pictures as inspiration for my own!
I don’t want this to sound offensive, but could you possibly consider partnering with more companies that offer lower price points on their pieces? With your core reader being 18-35, it’s so hard for many of us to pay $400 for a quilt or $500 for a coat. I know these companies sponsor you to offer your honest opinions. And I realize you sponsor a lot of things with a variety of price ranges! But lately, I’m finding many of your sponsorships for home/clothing to be a bit out of the price range of readers who identify with you. I truly take your recommendations into consideration when purchasing! Hence my request 🙂 Thank you so much for reading and I hope you understand where I am coming from!

Hey Taralynn, I’ve loved and read your blog for a while, but wanted to send a thank you for introducing me to Dash & Albert! I finally found and ordered the stair runner carpet of my dreams from their site! This was a finishing touch that I had been searching and searching for. So happy to finish off that section of my house now. Thanks and hugs!

Hi Taralynn, I love your blog! I have been keeping up with you for a while now, and I was just curious what kind of exercises did you do at the beginning of your journey? I am just starting my own journey, and I am starting to realize I can’t do the things that i used to be able to do, simple things are very uncomfortable to me and that makes me very upset with myself! Any tips?

I love your new cozy design! I was wondering if you made your headboard as a DIY project or purchased it? Also, do you keep your fluffy comforters in a vacuum sealed bag or just leave them fluffed in the closet shelf? I’ve tried to compress my sheets to save space but not too much luck. Btw, my 4 year old saw your photo and says you are beautiful! <3
Taralynn McNitt says
Thank you Alyssa! My dad and I built the bed together! I just wash them and fold them on the shelf. I rotate them a lot! Tell your 4 year old thank you! That is the sweetest!!!!! xo
