I was so lazy yesterday, the ice was still on the road so I stayed home and worked all day. I didn’t go to the grocery store and so I ended up eating a salad and a bowl of cereal for dinner. Sounds like a great combination, eh?
I made sure to be more physically productive today. When I woke up, I went on Pinterest and looked for a workout to do and I found one on Pink Heels Pink Truck. I added it to the bottom of the post for you all to try. I definitely worked up a sweat.
After my mini workout, I made a heavenly greens smoothie to go with my eggs for breakfast.
My smoothie had: 2 cups ice water, 1 1/2 cup ice, 1/2 frozen banana, 2 cups spinach, 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice, 2 scoops 7 Lights Nutrition Heavenly Greens, 1 packet stevia, and 1 tsp honey.
The smoothie was so light and refreshing! You can also add protein powder to it, but my eggs had enough protein for my meal! I am going to run the track tonight to log in some more miles. I haven’t ran in days because of the weather. My parents are coming to town tomorrow and so I’m making homemade crockpot chicken noodle soup and biscuits. I’ll blog those recipes tonight or tomorrow!

Hey taralynn, I recently started to run and I take about 30 minutes for a 2.5 miles run. I wanted how much do you run and how long does it take you?

I love reading your blog. You can be quite motivating to get active. Especially in this cold weather! I don’t know about when you started, but I am trying to start drinking smoothies and I cant stand them. At least the green/healthy ones! Any tips on how to make them tastier?

Ever hear of Tracy Anderson? I feel like you would love her work out DVDs! There is a floor mat one that hits the whole body. Amazing workout!

its not nearly as cold as I anticipated today, I wish I went out and ran! You go extra hard for me, mmkay?

Hmmm. I’d probably add a little more fruit to the smoothie, because I don’t like to be able to taste the greens, ha! But otherwise, sounds good. And I completely understand! I have been frozen all day.

I love at home workouts like that! Especially ones that make you sweat and are super quick! I make my green smoothies pretty much the same but with Vega protein powder and usually some peanut butter. 🙂
