Hello!
I know it’s Tuesday, but I can’t forget to fill you in on my Saturday. I went to the Ballantyne Fall Festival. Emilee dragged me out of the house to go with her.
It’s so weird experiencing fall in 90 degree heat. I’m so used to a freezing fall, but I’m not complaining. I can live with this!
Thank goodness the festival had all the food trucks, I was hungry.
Emilee and I split a plate of bbq pulled chicken, coleslaw, and baked beans.
The south has incredible bbq!
The festival was set up with all kinds of crafts and goodies. Luckily the weather held up and the storm in the background passed without a drop.
My favorite part was the pumpkin carving contest. Of course, I always vote for the pumpkin with the least votes.
Although the bouncy house looked tempting, I left it for the children 🙂
When I got back from the festival, I was in a baking mood, so I baked some fresh cinnamon rolls for Sunday morning.
I also made some delicious pumpkin cookies! Later that night, I went out to dinner with Emilee and then came home to pass out!

I’m not going to lie, I’m a LITTLE jealous of your 90 degree fall weather! Here in Wisconsin, it’s been rainy and cold!

I am also from Wisconsin (MKE area) and can definitely attest to that statement! I usually love rainy fall weather, but this year seems to have gotten a lot colder a lot sooner than usual.

Hi Taralynn! Thank you so much for coming out to the festival, supporting our community, and then covering it on your blog. Happy that you could enjoy some bbq and pumpkins. Have a terrific week.
