After going out Friday night, waking up early for breakfast, going all over Charlotte, we were exhausted. But it was Emilee’s birthday, so we were all about celebrating. We decided to go to a baseball game, have dinner uptown, and do a movie night instead of going “out out” again.
For dinner, we went to Vapianos. This is probably one of my new favorite restaurants in Charlotte. I liked everything about it. I liked that you didn’t have a waiter/waitress, everything you bought went on a card and you paid at the end, the bartender was a Detroit Lion’s fan, and the food was delicious.
I ordered a coffee with baileys to give me a little boost before the game. I was sluggggggish!
I ordered a grilled chicken caesar salad. Even though we were at an Italian place, I wanted to eat healthy. I knew I’d be getting my Italian fix on Sunday after church.
After dinner we did a little walking around uptown.
Charlotte is one of the prettiest cities. Everything is kept so neat and clean.
I can’t help but take pictures when we are out and about.
Especially when it’s my favorite flowers:) Hibiscus.
We finally made it to the stadium!
There is the birthday girl!
I was kind of feeling Mr. Chick-fil-A cow…
And we finally got a decent picture. Not sure why the cow wouldn’t smile.
This was Emilee’s first time at the Knights stadium and uptown! I’ve been dragging her everywhere.
We got lucky with perfect baseball weather. It was kind of chilly and breezy, but no rain.
After the game we went over and picked up cupcake, movies and stuff to make quesodillas.

We have a Vapiano’s in Boston and I love it! It’s so easy to customize your order and it’s great for groups too because everyone gets their own card. Glad you could experience it in Charlotte!

The restaurant sounds really cool. I like the sound of how they do things there. 🙂
BASEBALL!!! I love baseball so much! 😀 Are the Knights a AAA team?

Wow, they give BIG portions–at least you get more for your money! I always kinda expect to be given a really small amount for insane $$ when I eat out at fancy restaurants.
