Tonight, Samantha and I had zero urge to cook, so we drove 12 miles to a hibachi buffet. Not many things compare to cheap Chinese and extra salty chicken. I felt like risking my blood pressure and my overall health for some hibachi tonight. As long as it fits my macros, right? To be honest, I don’t like the word macro. It makes me think of Macaroni and that probably doesn’t fit my macros.
My stir fry had broccoli, zucchini, carrots, bell peppers, shrimp, chicken, and garlic sauce. I have no idea what the garlic sauce was made of, but it was good.
It ended up tasting a lot like Ghengis Grill. And of course, I don’t know how to eat things without ketchup…
While we were waiting on our Hibachi to “Hibachitize” We put a sushi sampler plate together. I have no idea what types of sushi these were, but that didn’t take away from the yumminess.
Plate three was because I felt as if I could actually do it. I think I had one bite of pineapple and failed to eat the rest. I underestimated the power of the buffet.
But never underestimated the power of dessert and this stuff went down like coffee in the morning!
My favorite part of eating Chinese, is the fortune cookie. As soon as I cracked the cookie open, my lucky number popped through. That was a good sign and the fortune made me smile.

So, I’ve seen you mention “fitting your macros” in a some of your posts lately. Have you always tracked your macros or is that something that you’ve just started doing? I was researching it recently and it seems a little difficult and very time consuming. I don’t think I could get it to work very well with my work schedule. Thanks!

I’m interested in this as well!

Taralynn,
What do you mean by “macros”? I’m sure I could research online, but a brief introduction or an entry about diet exclusively would be nice!
I hope you’re doing well. I look forward to the day you open up about some of the personal posts you’ve had lately…I’m excited to learn more. Love ya.

it means macronutrients
so you’re tracking macronutrients instead of, for example, calories

Chinese food is soooo good (both in fancy and casual/cheap restaurants)! My weakness is probably the stir-fry veggies… Your stir fry looks and sounds amazing! I bet the garlic sauce was delicious. 🙂
