Last night, Paulina and I went to dinner at Terrace Cafe. I’ve eaten their lunch menu before, and everything was so fresh and colorful. One thing that had caught my attention last time was their coffee.I hadn’t had coffee all day, so it was the first thing I ordered. The summer heat makes me consume less coffee, which is probably good. I went out to breakfast earlier in the morning, but went with orange juice because I couldn’t imagine putting hot coffee in my body. Gotta love the southern heat.
The Terrace Cafe is hidden away in the Ballantyne Village. They have an outdoor and an indoor dining area. Their menu has a variety of everything.
I was going back and fourth trying to decide whether I wanted the roasted salmon salad or the bourbon salmon with roasted broccoli. I know I’ve been on the bourbon kick lately, and maybe over consuming a little too much, so I went with the roasted salmon salad.
My salad came with walnuts, green apple slices, spring mix lettuce, spinach, dried cranberries, parmesan cheese (swapped for the blue cheese), and ranch on the side!
Their soup of the day was tomato basil bisque. You can’t really turn down tomato basil bisque…at least I can’t! It’s one of my favorite soups. Thank goodness the restaurant had it’s air blasting.
Paulina had the house salad. It came with tossed greens, onion, radishes, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, and cheddar cheese.
Next time, I’ll order the bourbon salmon for sure!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
