Well, I made it to the doctors this afternoon. I’m going to do everything I can to prevent going through that much pain during my cycle. He gave me a lot of good feedback and possible reasons for this happening. I did a blood test, a urine test, and going back on the 29th for a ultra sound followed by another exam. I’ll be getting a call next week with blood/urine results. I’ll keep you all updated! Thank you for all of your suggestions and feedback. I took a lot of your suggestions to my doctor today!
After my appointment, I stopped at Harris Teeter’s and picked up some groceries for Jeremy for the weekend, food for the road, and a lunch for myself. They have the best food bars!
I mixed a bunch of different veggies and cold salads together. The more cold salads I add, the less dressing I need.
I topped romain lettuce with plops of quinoa, red potato salad, broccoli salad, crab salad, coleslaw, bell peppers, roasted vegetables, salmon, grilled chicken, edamame, macaroni salad, broccoli, corns and black bean barley salad and onions.
I stole a couple of potato fries from Jeremy’s container and topped them onto my salad! I know they aren’t great for you but they are so darn delicious. I ended up not needing dressing!
Now, I need to finish the laundry, cut up some fruit, charge my electronics, pack my bags, and get ready for my road trip to Charleston with the girls!

Hi Taralynn,
I’ve been really enjoying your blog but I haven’t commented yet. Love your recipes and you seem really kind.
I get really bad cramps too and one thing that has made them less, without medication is calcium. I read that it can help so I tried it and it really worked. I take a supplement and eat lots of yogurt. It took about a month to kick in but it really worked.
Best,
Dana

I noticed you don’t have your fruit covered in your fridge. Is this for the pictures’ sake or do you not cover fruit in the fridge? I realize this is probably an odd question but I’m just curious if not covering fruit is ok or if it takes on smells from other foods or dries out too quickly? Have fun on your trip and I’ll say a prayer for your results to bring you answers so you don’t have to go through such pain again.

Thanks!:) I just had the covers off to take the picture. I normally cover the fruit. 😀

That looks very tasty! I’m currently based in the UK (originally from America) and one of the things I really miss are fresh food/salad bars like whole foods or Harris Teeter!

Hi Taralynn! I remember reading these posts back from 2014 when you weren’t feeling well. You had bad cramps, an ultrasound, urine test, blood test…
I’m tryin to locate the post from when you share the results with us but I can’t find it. I am experiencing similar symptoms right now and had all the same tests done but they haven’t been able to find anything yet.
What ended up causing the pain you had?
Thanks so much!
