Doggy Date Hike!

I couldn’t help myself today. I wanted to get out and hike! I was tired of being stuck inside and so was Grumples. The beauty of working from home is sometimes I can shut down my computer and leave! Sometimes I have crazy things going on and I can’t, but nothing was stopping me or scheduled today. Grumples and I headed out together for a hike. I filled up a huge jug of water and packed some treats for him. I also brought my pepper spray because I don’t trust being alone in the wilderness by myself. We ended up walking five miles together. It was so peaceful.

We found a fun doggy water park on our way home and Grumples got pretty dirty! He had fun though!

There was no chance I’d let him enter our apartment without getting a bath. That red dirt does not come out. He has a love hate relationship with baths. But he is so good:)

There was an adorable five month old dalmatian there. I wanted to take him home. He was so cute!

Grumples liked him too!:)

What is your favorite activity to do with your pet?

When my husband and I visit my family at the Coast, I always take my dogs to the end of the beach and let them off their leashes. There is rarely anyone down there and they are free to run like crazy. They love it so much!!!!

I have a 4 yr old Lab/English Springer Spaniel named Bella. We love walking and snuggling. Any fun ideas that she and I could do together? What is your ultimate favorite thing to do with Grumples?

Do you get some form of cardio in everyday? Do you feel like a lot of walking is a good substitute for running? Or do you always run regardless of how busy you are? Love your site! And grumples is so cute!

I love to just take my dog outdoor and walk and run. My Loki loves to swim so he gets pretty dirty too and there is a pond about a half mile from our house . He doesn’t like baths but he tolerates them pretty well.

You mentioned Red Dirt, there aren’t many places that has that. Where did you guys hike at?

That looks beautiful! I’m from Nashville but live in Miami now so I miss the foliage of the Southeast. One great thing here is that there is a dog friendly beach! I love taking my dog there to play fetch in the ocean ๐Ÿ™‚

I love running my dogs and going out to our farm and letting them run around on the trails. Although, I have the same problem as you with them getting dirty and loving to swim.

Lay on the couch and snuggle…having an english bulldog doesn’t make way for a lot of activities! ๐Ÿ˜›
