Stocking Stuffers For Your Fitness Fanatic!

image

It’s the time of year that stresses us all out when it comes to gifts. I get so overwhelmed and just start impulse shopping last minute. Some of you have been asking me to do a gift guide. The problem with doing a gift guide is that my family reads my blog. If I share everything I’m getting my boyfriend, parents, and friends, they’ll find out by looking at my blog. So instead of a gift guide, I put together a stocking stuffer guide.

image

A lot of the guides on the internet are full of monetized links with gifts that no one really cares about or can actually afford. These are smaller stuffers that anyone can afford and find.

I went on a stocking stuffer hunt this past week and found tons of cute little ideas that would FIT your FITness fanatic!

image

One of my favorite places to shop for little gifts and accessories is Home Goods, Marshall’s, or TJ Maxx. They have all kinds of cute and colorful gifts for an affordable price. I found a couple colored kitchen aid utensils for under $7 apiece.

I found a fruit and vegetable processing device at one of those “as seen on tv” sections in the mall.  It was only $7.00 and it cuts your fruits and vegetables into noodle shapes. It’s a perfect fit for a stocking, too.

image

I made a quick stop at GNC because they have a ton of little sample sized products that any fitness fanatic would go nuts over.

image

I found a protein bar that has only 3g of sugar and 5 g of carbs. It was much cheaper than most protein bars, too. Plus you can’t beat the cookies & cream flavor!

image

Another HUGE obsession with fitness fanatics are the Quest bars. I was recently introduced to these and I can’t get enough. I eat about 2-3 a day. They are perfect for pre or post workouts. There isn’t a flavor I don’t like. They are by far the BEST protein bar on the market in my opinion. They have 20 g of protein, 5-3 g of Active Carbs, 18-20 g of Fiber, 1-3 g of sugar, and 160-210 calories. I prefer these over actual dessert. It sounds crazy, but once you take a bite, you’ll understand. They are also gluten free which is a plus for people with a gluten allergy.

As I was walking in the grocery store, I saw single boxes of craisins. I love topping my salads with these or yogurt. I thought the single boxes were adorable for the stocking. It’s all about portion sizes for fitness fanatics!

image

Single snack bags are a great idea for stuffers. You can find a lot of these are your local grocery store, Marshalls, Whole foods, etc. Above I have cracked pepper chickpeas which are high in healthy fats and protein. I have a raw weight watchers trail mix which is also high in healthy fats and protein. I found organic seaweed snacks in a snack size bag. I love crumbling these up in my rice and topping with salmon! It’s like a sushi bowl.  I thought the Snackimals were really cute. I can’t buy giant bags of animal crackers or I’ll eat the whole bag. I like the idea of a mini bag to help portion control.

The Good Bean, Cracked Pepper Chickpeas, Regal Mix Weight Watchers, Barbara’s Snackimal Chocolate Chip, GimMe Seaweed snacks.

Chocolate and candy is one of the most popular stocking stuffer! I love candy, but hate feeling like crap after indulging in too much. It’s better to make smarter chocolate choices. Instead of filling the stocking with milk chocolate bars, sour patch kids, sugary bubble gum, sugary peanut butter cups, snickers, etc… Fill it up with chocolate or candy you can feel better about. Justin’s almond butter company makes a great alternative to the Reese’s peanut butter cups! If you have a chocolate lover (me) always go for dark chocolate. The higher the percentage, the healthier and less sugar it will have.

image

I was at Nino Salvaggio’s and saw their individual wrapped chocolates and truffles. I loved that idea! Giving someone a box of chocolates is dangerous. I don’t know how many times I have demolished a box in one day. Un-wrapping your chocolate instead of grabbing chocolate for the box helps your brain realize how many you are actually eating.  Instead of giving out bubblegum full of sugar or artificial flavoring, replace it with organic mints or yogurt hard candies!

And of course, you have to add some fitness finds for your fanatic! Some of these I had laying around the house, but thought it would give you more ideas. Fitness fanatics can never have enough head bands or socks! I bought my RUN Nike one at Dicks sporting goods for $20.00, but I found the other two head bands at TJ Maxx for $3.99 a piece! I found my little 2 lb weights at Marshall’s for $8.99. The socks were from Marshall’s for $3.99. The New Balance sports bra was $9.99 at Marshall’s. I go through head phones faster than anyone I know. I either lose them, drop them in water, break them, or they just stop working. I always buy my replacements at TJ Maxx for $6.99!  Oh and my favorite…the pink Nike water bottle! Only $3.99 at TJ Maxx! The Polar watch is from Dicks Sporting Goods for $109.00 but you can find them on Amazon for $40 – $60 and in all different kinds of colors. There are a ton of different brands, too.

image

I also though little sample sized boxes of health food would fit perfectly in your fanatics stocking. You can fill it up with little boxes of quinoa, brown rice, seasonings, healthy dressings etc. It may seem like an odd stuffer, but for fanatics, it’s exciting!

image

Every fanatic loves accessories! You can find a ton of named brand accessories for cheap online or any of the stores I listed above. You can also fill the stocking with fingernail polish, mascara, face wash, body wash, lotion, perfume, earrings, or anything related to beauty and fashion!

image

I found the SKINNY vine at Nino Salvaggio and the Pinot Grigio at Whole Foods. You can also find Skinny Girl whine at your local grocery stores. These are some of my favorites.

image

As I was walking through Whole Foods, I found sample packets of protein powders. I thought this was perfect instead of shoving a giant tin of protein powder in a stocking! This way your fanatic can test out which one they like best. Little packets of oatmeal would be cute, too!

image

Granola bars and energy bars are great for the stocking. If you walk through Whole Foods or other grocery stores, you’ll see that they sell individually wrapped energy bars. Grab the ones you think look the best! They have ones that are gluten free, vegan, and dairy free. Make sure to pay attention to your fanatic’s dietary needs before you grab away. The ones above are all from Whole Foods.

image

Fruit snacks and leathers are a great alternative to candy such as skittles, jawbreakers, air heads or other teeth rotting junk! Make sure the snacks are made with real fruit juice and contain extra vitamins!

image

Filling the stocking with little gifts like books, tissues, and soap are great ideas as well. You could throw in some candles to go with this section, too.

image

Vitamins are important for fitness fanatics. Go explore their cabinet and see which vitamins they take and buy them an extra bottle!

image

Tea is a great stocking stuffer. It’s a metabolism booster, energy booster, and also a calming drink! You can get little sample packets at grocery stores if you don’t want to buy the whole box. You could also buy a box of the sample packets!

image

If you have a coffee lover, then don’t forget the coffee! K-cups are a great idea for your fanatic with a Keurig. Try to get a sample pack. If not, flavored coffee is such a treat! Brew La La makes almost EVERY flavor dessert coffee flavor. It’s incredible. I found some of these at Marshall’s, but you can get them for a great deal on their website.

image

Fanatics go NUTS for NUTS! Plus nuts are considered Christmas-y. Fill the stocking with a nut cracker and shelled nuts. Try to get the mix! They just look so much better and festive!
