Good Afternoon! Good Night! Good Morning!
Hello to you, wherever you are!
Today, I was inspired by one of the girls on Team Taralynn, Gabby. She has been using a lot of papaya in her recipes. She eats it: raw, makes soup and adds it into smoothies. Papaya is a super fruit. It contains a lot of healthy benefits. I have used it for drying out in my food dehydrator, but that’s about it. When I saw the fresh papaya at the grocery store, I grabbed it without hesitating.
The papaya I bought was exceedingly ripe. It reminded me of an orange avocado. It had the same texture.
For the smoothie I only used 1/2 of a large papaya. I froze the rest to eat later. I’m not sure how long ripe papaya last, and the freezer rescues all, right?
Apparently my dog likes papaya just as much as Gabby. A small slice fell on the floor and he followed me around for twenty minutes straight. Grumples and Gabby would get along!
Smoothie Ingredients:
-1/2 Large Papaya
-1/4 Cup Ice Cold Water
-1 Packet Stevia or Truvia
-1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
-2 Tbsp Non-Fat Organic Greek Yogurt
-1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
I decided to make some “me” time after the gym. I have read all the 50 Shades of Grey books.I decided to start over. Yes, I have an addictive personality. Sue me:)
The smoothie had a perfect texture, nice and smooth. I guess that is why we call it a “smoothie”. It reminded me of an Orange Julius but with papaya. The cinnamon was a nice touch to the fruit.
