On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…dark chocolate protein cookies.
Almost every kind of cookie is addicting. It’s that first bite that leads to the 100th bite. I guess if you are going to make cookies make them healthy, and prevent the”cookie eating guilt” that follows.
Here is a recipe for my protein cookies that I whipped together tonight. I plan on eating one before heading to the gym. It’s made with only 6 ingredients: flax seeds, chia seeds, banana, dark chocolate chips, PB2 and protein powder. The recipe only makes 6 cookies, so you won’t have too many cookies floating around the counter top screaming your name.
-Preheat oven to 350
-In a large mixing bowl add 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder (you can use vegan protein powder to make these cookies vegan) and 1 scoop of PB2.
-If you don’t have PB2 available, you can use all natural peanut butter.
-Mash the banana, PB2 and protein powder until creamy.
-Mix in: 1/4 cup of ground flax seeds and 2 tsp of chia seeds.
-Mix in 2 tbsps of dark chocolate chips.
-Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.
-Drop 1 1/2 tbsp sized drops onto the baking pan.
-The cookies will not rise, so spread them out into a circular shape.
-Bake 7-9 minutes, or until cookies are firm.
-Edges should be golden brown.
I bought this protein powder at Whole Foods. I can’t wait to add it into more of my fitness fuel.

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…4 calling birds.
Imagine that, more birds. The most annoying kind, and four of them! I won’t stand for this. My true love is obviously getting a kick out of watching me come up with ways to make these birds useful. This time I’m just setting them free. Before I let them take off, I’ll bake them tons of protein cookies full of nutrients to keep them strong for the winter.
No more birds, true love!

Congrats on your weightloss you look beautiful! I have lost 13.8 pounds, have my Friday weigh in coming up and have 38 more pounds to go before I’m 115 pounds! I cannot wait to have that before and after picture. I have a question for you, I need to know some good protein veggies or fruits or if I should buy protein powder and start making shakes because I run for an hour and twenty/thirty min three days a week and loose over 800 calories, I’m hurting myself by not putting protein back into my body. Hopefully you can help!
Thanks 🙂
