This afternoon I headed to the grocery store. I have had a large sweet tooth lately, so I wanted to pick up some healthy alternatives.
For my uncontrollable chocolate craving, I bought PB2 with premium chocolate. It’s only 45 calories and taste incredible. I know I can use these for all types of recipes.
I also bought PB2 powdered peanut butter. One thing about me is, I have a crazy addiction to peanut butter. It’s literally dangerous. I don’t even keep it in my house. I have the will power to almost anything I eat, except peanut butter. One bite leads to the entire jar. I love it that much! Thank goodness a couple years ago, I was introduced to PB2 powdered peanut butter. It’s only 45 calories and taste so similar to peanut butter.
I found these low calorie, whole grain thin cakes. They only contain 38 calories per serving. I thought they would go perfect with savory or sweet spreads.
The same brand made another flavor out of flax seeds. These have 57 calories per serving, but have more nutrients in them. I couldn’t resist. I had to buy them.
After dinner, I decided to have a couple crackers with PB2 powdered peanut butter and PB2 chocolate.
The serving for the two PB2’s is 2 tablespoons. I split the serving in half. To prepare: I added 1 Tbsp of the powder and 1/2 Tbsp of water. This goes for both flavors.
After preparing the chocolate, I prepared the peanut butter.
I spread 1 tbsp of each flavor onto a lightly salted corn cake thin.
I have had the PB2 peanut butter before, but the chocolate was new to me. I fell in love with it. I felt like I was eating a sugary dessert. Almost way too good to be true. This would be a perfect snack for: road trips, school, work and throughout the day.
