We are less than two weeks away until the first day of fall! Can I get an Amen?! I know what you’re thinking. Pumpkin spice, apple picking, scented candles, cozy scarves, bonfires, and the list goes on. All of that sounds amazing, and I could totally go for a pumpkin spiced latte right now but do you know what I’m thinking? Flu season, stuffy noses, germy yoga studios, stiff joints, dry skin, and the list goes on. But guess what? I’m teaming up with one of my favorite companies, CVS, to share some excellent health products and other essentials you should have around the house this fall! Let’s kill the germs, moisturize the dry skin, and prepare ourselves for the colder months ahead.
I loved how excited you all were for the last CVS giveaway, so I wanted to include one just as awesome to kick off a healthier fall. One lucky reader is going to win the gym bag and products featured in this post. Keep reading for more details!
Watching CVS transform into an all-around healthy pharmacy has made me extremely proud and fortunate to be able to work with them. Last April, I was lucky enough to visit a CVS event in NYC. If you haven’t read that post, make sure to pop over and check it out. I had already been a fan of CVS but became more in love with their company after that visit. Even when I’m not blogging, I’m always talking about their products to my friends and family, stopping in there weekly, and have depended on the convenience of CVS to make my life a bit easier. During this event, not only did we learn about the changes they had made or were in the process of making, but they wanted to know what we genuinely thought. They encouraged us to share our input and help them to improve in any way to make the lives healthier and more accessible for their customers. Even though I create sponsored posts through CVS, at the end of the day, I’m just a proud customer. Their changes haven’t gone unnoticed, and I can’t wait to show you guys what they’ve been up to!
We all live different lifestyles. I know I have several readers that spend their days working with kids in the classroom, some readers who teach yoga, some that travel all around for work, and readers who stay home working hard taking care of their families. We all require different products to keep us strong, healthy, and on top of our game. CVS Health (CVS Pharmacy’s flagship line) has close to 3,000 unique and on-trend health and wellness products to fit our day to day lives.
You’ll be able to pick up vitamins for your family, over the counter products for the sick days, and essential products for the germy gyms, classrooms, or airplanes. I’m sure you all have the go-to products that you keep with you at all times. I can’t go anywhere without carrying Ibuprofen, hand sanitizer, and tissues in my purse! CVS Health line has my products much cheaper than the popular brands. I’ll never complain about saving money when it’s possible.
If you’re looking for something, CVS most likely has it. The employees at CVS are always the nicest. If you’re looking for a specific product, they’ll be able to help you find it.
When I was nanny way back in the day, I always stopped at CVS before heading to the park to pick up first aid supplies because there was always a booboo waiting to be covered. I don’t know what it is about band-aids, but they instantly make kids feel better.
I love that you can walk into CVS and everything you need is within steps from each other. You go in for what you need, and you’re out within minutes. When I go into the bigger stores, I feel like I’m bouncing everywhere to get what I need. I’ll usually walk out of those bigger stores with five new outfits, a new chair, and everything I didn’t need instead of the products I went in for. I’m sure you can relate to this. CVS is a great place to stop before trips to pick up things like sleep aids, pain relief, carry-on items, hand sanitizer, and other essentials without all the distractions.
I go to the gym about four times a week to walk the treadmill and sometimes make my way over to the weights. You can’t always trust that someone has wiped down the machine before you. I ALWAYS take my antibacterial wipes and clean off the equipment I use before and after. It only takes one lousy germ to send you running for the doctor’s office instead of packing for the fun weekend plans you could have had. You don’t have to stay home during flu season in fear of the germs, but make sure always to wipe everything down, wash your hands, and repeat! And since you’ll be washing your hands regularly, don’t forget the CVS Health moisturizing lotion to prevent dry skin.
I love that CVS carries products in different packaging to fit into bags, bathroom drawers, or glove compartments. Speaking of glove compartments, mine is a full out pharmacy in the winter! You’ll find cough drops, throat relief pops, chapstick tissues, lotion, antibacterial soap, and hand warmers. It’s also important to wipe down your steering wheel, seat belts, door handles, and other things you always touch in the car. Little things like this can prevent unwanted sickness.
One of my favorite ways to stay healthy is with multivitamin gummies. Not only because they’re delicious but because they are helpful when it comes to keeping your immune system up during the colder months. It’s hard to forget to take multivitamins when they come in gummy form. As an adult, I’m more excited about these than kids. When we are looking for products, most of us have specific requirements they must match before purchasing. I love that CVS offers a variety of products that fit those requirements. The CVS Health gummies are free from artificial flavors, colors, and preservations. You can get your dose of vitamins and minerals without all the added junk.
Oftentimes with your ExtraCare card, there will be a BOGO deal on the CVS vitamins, and I always take advantage of those deals. I’ll usually buy them for stocking stuffers. You know you’re old when you’d rather have gummy vitamins in your stocking over chocolates.
Vitamin C – helps form and maintain bones, skin, and blood vessels. (my favorite vitamin)
Hair, Skin, & Nails (Biotin) – helps improve hair, skin, and nails (crucial for winter!)
Vitamin D3 – supports bone health
Turmeric Curcumin – a powerful anti-inflammatory aid & a powerful antioxidant (I find that turmeric helps my achy joints caused by cold weather)
If you ever feel a cold coming on, Vitamin C, Epsom salt baths, and shower vapor tabs will be your best friend.
I had no idea that shower vapor tabs were a thing until being introduced to them by CVS. I don’t know how I lived without them for so long! They come in different scents. Apparently, the lavender one is the favorite because they were out at my local CVS. The employee told me at least three people bought them that day. The vapor tabs react with the water in your shower to release non-medicated relaxing and soothing scents. If you’re ever having a stressful day or need a boost in the morning, I highly recommend trying these out. You’ll wonder how you lived without them for so long. Speaking of, I added one to my shower after walking the dogs this morning.
Epsom salt is another thing I like to add to my baths for relaxing, especially after a long day or intense workout. I enjoy using the lavender for calming, and the eucalyptus spearmint for opening sinus or relaxing muscles. In the winter, my joints are always stiff, and the Epsom salts are a great relief. The natural magnesium in the Epsom salts triggers the good mood feels as well. 😊Of course, after showering or spending time in the water, moisturizing lotion is crucial. I love CVS Health‘s dermatologist tested moisturizing lotion. It absorbs perfectly, and I love the neutral scent.
My true love is tennis. When I’m not walking at the gym, hiking trails, or diving into an active routine, I’m most likely playing tennis for my workout. On Saturdays, I play up to four hours of nonstop tennis, which does put a lot of havoc on my joints and skin. I’ve found that keeping certain products around truly helps me recover and allows me to come back for more tennis each weekend.
Ibuprofen is my best friend for sore muscles or headaches from being in the sun too long. The CVS Health tablets are inexpensive and available in multiple sizes. I keep a little bottle in my purse for the headache episodes. When you’re continuously running back and forth on the courts, blister cushions will become your best friend. Even walking my dogs three miles a day causes blisters, so I’ve been using these sweet little savors for a while now. I would highly recommend them if you’re planning any hiking adventures too! Keeping chapstick, sunscreen, sore muscle rub (for legs especially), and athletic tape in my bag is also a must. I also love that CVS carries tennis balls. I pop into CVS every Saturday on my way to the courts to grab a new can! They have everything I need.
Another product that I was introduced to by CVS Health is the Active Lifestyle Probiotic. These supplements support gastrointestinal health, immune health, and physical performance by promoting general well-being. CVS Health has so many probiotic products that will fit into your daily lifestyles.
Radiance Platinum is another popular CVS Pharmacy brand for premium vitamins. They are free from artificial preservatives and mostly vegan, non-GMO, and organic. I’ve been using the Radiance Platinum Women’s daily vitamins for about three years now. One of my favorite Radiance Platinum products for you to look out for is the fermented turmeric. A lot of people don’t like ginger or turmeric, so having a pill form to take is a great way to fight inflammation. I take two capsules every other day.
Some of my favorite CVS Health products for you to look out for are!
- CVS Health Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules
- CVS Health Blister Cushions
- CVS Health Cranberry Jelly Beans
- CVS Health Fast Relief Sore Throat Spray
- CVS Health Hair, Skin, & Nails Biotin Gummies
- CVS Health Mood Support Probiotic
- CVS Health Active Lifestyle Probiotic
- CVS Health Lavender Epsom Salts (or Epsom Salt Tablets)
- CVS Health Lavender-Scented Shower Tablets
- CVS Health Manuka Honey Adhesive Strips
- CVS Health Cold & Flu Single Serve Cups
- CVS Health Cold & Hot Sore Muscle Spray
- Radiance Platinum Fermented Turmeric Capsules
P.S. It’s almost that time of year again where CVS busts out all the fall decor and seasonal snacks! eeeeek! 😀
My goal for this fall and winter is to feel my best, always! ❤️

I would want to try the sports tape, to see if it works as well as the more expensive brands. I really don’t know enough to offer tips. I just try to treat my body kindly by eating as healthy as I can (most of the time) I always feel better when I do and staying positive. My thoughts and outlook can make a big difference in my health. Love your blog, I have learned a lot.
Caitlyn says
Epsom salts and hand sanitizer wipes for sure! My tip for the fall is keeping hand sanitizer on hand at all times. I work with kids and always try to keep the germs at bay (theirs and mine) by keeping everyone’s hands clean!
Madeline says
CVS Lavender Epsom Salts sound like a lifesaver 🙂 I stay healthy by keeping active and hydrated!
Jennifer Powell says
1. CVS Health Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules
2. I switch up my probiotics every month so that my gut is exposed to all different strains of flora and not just accustomed to one type! Super Gut 💪🏼
Sharon says
I would like to try the CVS Health Epsom Salt Tablets. My best tip for staying healthy in the winter months is to take an immune booster and wash my hands often.
Alena says
The CVS product that I’d like to try is the Platinum Fermented Turmeric Capsules! I know turmeric is great for inflammation and I think it’d be useful for me! The #1 tip I use to stay healthy is to wash your hands! I am a nurse so that is number one for sure. I hope I win! Xx
Ashley says
I’d love to try to shower tabs! I have never heard or seen them, but I will be going by my local CVS this afternoon on my way home to search for them. My number 1 tip for staying healthy anytime of year is to ALWAYS wash my hands!!!!
Melissa Young says
Hi Taralynn- I would love to try the CVS Health Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules. might be easier then me drinking a tablespoon a day.
I think it is super important to stay hydrated during colder months and stretch. I think when it gets colder we seem to be in a rush and don’t take the time to do the simple things that help you mind, body and spirit.
Johnna says
I’m interested it trying the turmeric capsules and the lavender Epson salt!
Getting plenty of rest is my go to to staying healthy!
Kim says
Id love to try the blister care cushions. I always get blisters from running regardless of my shoes or socks! I have tried some different products to help, but none have been preventative!
Tip: I always make sure to have warm socks and a warm hat. I find that being cold not only leads me being sick, but it impacts my mood in a terrible way. Stay warm!
Taylor says
I already love the hair skin and nail vitamins from CVS, I’ve spent the last year trying to grow my hair out and clear up my skin and I love the CVS brand vitamins for it! They work better than other brands and are literally half the price! Plus CVS does sales on their vitamins so often! I would love to try the Manuka honey strips! Those sound incredible! I always make sure I take viatamin c supplements in the colder months! With schools back in session and temperatures dropping, avoiding illnesses is #1 for me!
Mallory says
1. Definitely the Epsom salts!!!
2. Washing my hands more than necessary
🙂 <3
Sandra says
Hi! I’ve been following your blog for YEARS and just want to say how inspiring you are!
I would LOVE to try both the CVS mood support probiotics and well as the CVS healthy hair, skin and nail support gummies.
I live in South Florida so we don’t get harsh Winters (or any sort of Winter at all really) BUT that doesn’t mean the flu doesn’t go around. With my family I like to get as much local honey into our diets, sounds weird but it really helps with our allergies and overall health. Also HANDWASHING! I preach this constantly! 🍯 😊
teresa says
HI! I’m so excited for fall!! I work in pediatric medicine and know how many germs fall brings. I want to try the mood boosting probiotic, my number one tip is practice good handwashing!!
Tori Farber says
I would love to try the hair, skin, and nails gummies! My tips for staying healthy during the colder months-
1) Find an exercise that you love to do so there are no excuses- for example I found a kickboxing YouTube video series that I absolutely love! I don’t even have to leave my house to do it! Snow I’ll not keep me from working out!
2) make sure you are still getting vitamins and minerals from veggies and fruit. During the colder months most people crave comfort food that is not always the best option. Try to remake your favorite comfort dishes into a healthier version. For example, potato soup is a comfort food but maybe add more veggies to it or puréed cauliflower!
Walnut says
We would love to try the shower tabs! With an autistic 1st grader and a wild toddler de-stressing usually only happens in the shower and I am sure the lavender would be the bomb!
For staying healthier we always make sure to carry hand sanitizer on our bags and an extra packet of baby wipes – you never know who is going to touch what and those two can clean almost everything. Olly vitsmins also make a great immunity vitamin that my older child loves.
Haley Evans says
Which CVS Health Product would you like to try?
The hair, skin, and nails! I have been almost talked into buying “Sugar Bear Hair” vitimans and I’m worried it’s just a scam. If I can get something that works for less at my local CVS, I’m all for it!
What is your #1 tip for staying healthy during the colder months?
WASH YO HANDS!!!!!!
Sherrie M. says
I’d love to try anything that helps with allergies!
And my #1 tip for staying healthy is was your hands!!!!
Katy says
I’d love to try the shower tabs. I didn’t know that they came in different scents!
I’m a kindergarten teacher so my number one tip for staying healthy is wash, wash, wash your hands and then wash some more:)
Love reading your blog. It always keeps me motivated
Haley Evans says
I am wanting to try the hair skin and nails! I have been close to buying the “sugar bear hair” vitmiams and I’m worried it’s a scam for the price they charge. If I can get something for cheaper, that works, at my local CVS I am all about it.
Stay healthy this cold season and WASH YO HANDS!!
Nicole says
Wellness is so important during these coming months! I currently feel a cold coming on (and I’m pregnant, so that’s even worse!) and I’m just sucking away on Vitamin C drops hoping to curb it. The Lavender Shower Tablets look super interesting, I’d love to give those a try! It might seem simple, but my #1 tip for staying healthy in the colder months is hand washing. So simple, yet so many people don’t do it as often as they should.
Olivia says
I think the shower vapor tabs seem really intriguing! I recently had a nasty head cold and that would have been great to try out.
As for staying healthy, I’m a college student so I’m surrounded by germ covered surfaces all the time so I carry around wipes and hand sanitizer, and I take vitamins to try and keep my immense system from imploding when stress hits.
Rebecca Forney says
Hi! What an amazing post and goodie-filled bag! I have to go to CVS now to stock up on all of these vitamins! 1) I would love to try the gummy vitamins (especially the turmeric one!) and the lavender-scented shower tablets! I’ve never heard of those but they sound amazing! 2) My #1 tip for staying healthy in the colder months is just to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, try to get a lot of vitamin-c, and keep up with working out, running and yoga, as I think it helps to boost your immune system. Of course hand sanitizer is a must as well!
Rachele Merola says
I’ve been looking for a good multivitamin with the change of the seasons regarding my energy levels. So I would definitely would want to try CVS multivitamin. My number one tip to staying healthy is always washing my hands.
Jenna Pagnotta says
I would love to try the apple cider vinegar capsules – I’ve tried taking straight shots of it before, or mixing it into kombucha, and it is just so strong tasting! Would love to be able to get the same benefits in a capsule 🙂
My best tip for staying healthy during the colder months is definitely making sure I still eat plenty of fruits/veggies and staying active, even if that means working out in a germy gym. I find that taking care of myself physically keeps my immune system strong and ready to handle any bugs that might come my way!
Kelsi says
I would love to try those vitamin gummies! Sometimes with vitamins, capsules and pills actually make me super nauseous so it’s hard for me to stick with the routine of taking them.
My #1 tip for staying healthy in the colder months is remembering that I also have a dog that I need to keep healthy! I can’t let him sit around all winter, so I remind myself to take him on walks and runs, too.
Taylor Brown says
I’d love to try the CVS Health Hair, Skin and Nail vitamins! I’m working on growing my hair longer and it will need that vitamin boost in the winter! Speaking of vitamins: my number one tip for staying healthy during the colder months is vitamin c. When I feel a cold coming on I take vitamin c for a few days and bam 💥 crisis averted!
Kristen says
Hi Taralynn,
I would like to try the Apple cider vinegar capsules. I’ve always heard about people drinking apple cidar vinegar but this seems like a better way to do it.
My number 1 tip to stay heathly during the cooler months is to get plenty of rest. Sleep is so important to your overall health so I always make that a priority.
Stephanie says

1. The Hair, Skin, & Nails Biotin Gummies – I’d really like to improve my nails. I’ve always been a nail biter & I’m finally making a conscious effort to stop.
2. Wash your hands! Drink plenty of water even though all you want is cozy hot drinks 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
Lol I need to remember that! I’m so bad at drinking water because those hot cozy drinks are screaming my name!!
Elizabeth S says
1. I would like to try the Biotin hair, skin and nail gummies! My hair has been breaking more and more as I’ve gotten older, and I can’t find a supplement that helps. I wonder if these could help.
2. Drink all the warm beverages! Black coffee and hot tea with lemon will keep you hydrated. In the winter, you don’t sweat as much so it’s hard to tell when you’re dehydrated.
Taralynn McNitt says
Did you just say black coffee keeps you hydrated?! THEN I MUST BE SO HYDRATED lol
Thanks for the tips!
Kendra Johnson says
1)Vitamin C! 🍊
2) Epsom salt baths: stay warm and heal the sore muscles 💪🏼 💧☃️

ABSOLUTELY the shower vapor tabs! I’m stuffy year round (allergic to everything in the world) and I’m always looking for a way to loosen up before going to sleep. I think those would definitely help! But alllll the gummies look delicious too 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
You’ll definite benefit from those!!!
Sara Tuttle says
I would defiantely want to try the vapor tabs for the shower! The very worst part of a cold is a stuffy nose!

Taralynn McNitt says
I need to take that water tip more seriously! I’m so bad at staying hydrated.

Yay for fall! It’s arrived a little early here in Wyoming which means I’ve alraady busted out all the candles and flannel! (I just hope winter doesn’t do the same thing!😂)
Those shower vapor tablets sound ah-mazing!! I’m definitely going to have to try those! Our little house doesn’t have a bathtub (lots of sink baths for the baby😂) and I’ve been missing my Epsom salt baths! Have you ever tried the stress relief bath salts from Bath and Body Works? They’re my favorite from their aromatherapy line!
A couple things I like to do to stay healthy is I’m always diffusing OnGuard from doterra and I make a honey/lemon/cinnamon tea with some apple cider vinegar to kill all the nasties I might have picked up!
Thanks for the fun giveaway!

My number one tip for staying healthy during the flu season is to wash your hands twice! It only takes an additional 20 seconds but makes such a difference. Also, stay hydrated! Nothing is worse than getting the flu when you are already dehydrated. It’s like playing catch up on your health.
Taralynn McNitt says
Great advice!
Caitlyn K says

Hi! I always enjoy and look forward to reading your posts each week. I would love to try CVS’s tumeric curcumin gummies, and I’m adding these to my list. I deal with a lot of inflammation from autoimmune disease. My number one tip for staying healthy during the cold months is to make sure you’re getting enough sleep – that always helps me fend off the yuck. Thanks, and have a great day!
Taralynn McNitt says
Thanks so much, Amy!
You’re so right about sleep! I feel so off or down when I have little sleep. And with inflammation and autoimmune disease, I’m sure you know all about the benefits of turmeric!

Taralynn McNitt says
Vitamin C for the win!
Alanna Lovejoy says
I would love to try the shower tablets seeing how I am already starting to get sick!!
My tip to stay healthy in the fall is to keep moving and drink plenty of H2O. Just because it’s getting colder out their doesn’t mean you body won’t feel refreshed from a good sweat or maybe just a walk in those cute scarves and hats.
Lindesay says
I would like to try the CVS brand vitamin gummies! I like gummy vitamins more than capsules or tablets, and I’ve tried several brands. Some are favorites, some I will forever pass on. I’ve never tried CVS gummies. Vitamins are a simple way to boost your immune system during the winter months.
I have many tips for staying healthy during the winter months, especially as a nurse and even more so now that I’m pregnant. My biggest suggestion, after the well known hand washing, is a balanced diet and adequate hydration! Eating healthy foods and making sure to drink enough fluids (& boosted by taking vitamins of course!) helps keep your body working properly so you can fight off little buggies, and if you do get sick, you can get better faster!
Hoping you have a sick-free winter!
Samantha says
This is such an amazing giveaway! I really want to try the apple cider vinegar capsules. I know that acv is so good for you, but I hate the taste! This is the perfect solution. As for my trick for staying healthy—hydration. I up my water intake a bit during the fall and winter and always start my day with alkalizing lemon water. I also drink tea instead of coffee and that seems to help as well. I’m looking forward to trying some of these products to help avoid the cold/flu season as well!
Zoe says
I’ve never heard of shower vapor tabs and they sound divine! So while, I’d be interested in most of what you mentioned, those are my winner!
Staying healthy in the winter….hmm, I think it’s important to dress for the weather! Im always looking for high quality winter clothes that keep you warm, but not uncomfortable.
Taralynn McNitt says
YES!!! I just got boots and a coat from Backcountry for this reason!!
Zoe says
I will have to check them out, for sure!
Valerie Craig says
I’d love to try the Hair, Skin & Nails gummies. My tip for staying healthy during the winter months is broth! Soups and homemade bone broth in the crock pot. It’s a way i can sneak in a ton of nutrients and vitamins to my family to help us all stay healthy during the winter.
Aubrey M says
I would like to try the CVS Health Shower Reliever Effervescent Vapor Tablets. I’ve heard using bath bombs with eukalyptus to help when you have a cold. But I don’t have a bathtub, only showers. I wonder if these shower tablets work? Have you ever tried them?
Taralynn McNitt says
The tablets are great for opening sinuses! I’ve never tried the bath bombs for that!
Ellen Smith says
1. I almost always get one sore throat during the winter, so this year (if it happens) I would really like to try the CVS sore throat spray you mentioned! Hoping it will help and works!!!
2. To stay healthy during the winter months i still try to drink enough water! I know it’s easier in the summer when it’s hot, but it’s also so important in the winter!
Taralynn McNitt says
You’re absolutely right!
Sydney B. says
I’d love to try the lotion. I have sensitive skin, and have been on the hunt for a really good lotion to keep my skin from drying out in the winter. I also love how you mentioned the scent is neutral. My tip for staying well during flu season is 1. I clean my ears out with hydrogen peroxide twice a week. Kills bacteria that can get into your nasal passage. 2. Every morning I try and drink 8oz of warm water, mixed with a table spoon of apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and a local honey. I swear by this, kills all the bad stuff.
Love your blog!
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Sydney!
Thanks for the kind words about my blog! 😊
I love the neutral lotions so much and this one is a great dermatologist-approved one!
Great tips!!!
Kacey says
Oh my goodness, so many products I’d like to try! The Epsom salts and shower tablets are certainly standing out for me right now though. They sound both relaxing and healing. And every time flu season hits, I keep up with vitamin c, drink lots of tea and water, wipe down everything with antibacterial, and also have a little essential oil blend I rub on the bottom of my feet daily. Not about that sick life!
Taralynn McNitt says
Not about that sick life either!! lol

Taralynn McNitt says
The most important tips!

1- I want to try the muscle spray! It seems like I ALWAYS have sore muscles even when I haven’t worked out any more rigorous than normal. Am I the only one??
2- I drink emergen-C packets everyday when I start to notice people around me become sick! Come finals week of college and I am healthy and have tons of energy, unlike most !
Taralynn McNitt says
Glad you’re prepared~!
I get that soreness too!!!
Emily Weed says
I just love CVS they just have such a good variety of things. My two favorites that you mentioned above were the CVS Health Hair, Skin, Nails Biotin Gummies they work wonders on my hair along with the CVS Health Lavender Epsom Salts they are always nice in a bath after a long workout! 🙂
What I would love to try from CVS is the Vapor Tablets because I always tend to get a killer sinus infection at least once during the fall months, and I think it would really help when I’m congested.
My favorite ways to stay healthy are: Constantly washing my hands, taking my vitamins everyday and drinking warm tea or coffee to prevent sore throats and staying hydrated with lots of water.
EM says
I really want to try the Lavender Shower tablets. They sound amazing.
As for healthy winter tips? Vitamin C every day! I tend to drink an Emergen-C with lunch everyday just to make sure I get it in.
Taralynn McNitt says
Vitamin C all the way!

Katie says
I’d love to try the shower vapor mists!! I live in Florida, so we don’t have cold weather too long, but when we do, I like to make sure I moisturize my skin.
Taralynn McNitt says

Cassie says
I would love to try the Turmeric Curcumin gummies! I have auto-immune issues and have heard great things about Turmeric. My #1 tip would probably be a combination of: wash your hands with soap/water often, get plenty of rest and take vitamin C!

1. I’d love to try the Hair Skin and Nails gummies. I’ve tried so many and I need one that really works.
2. Healthy tip. No matter where you’ve been. Every time you come home, take off your shoes at the door and wash your hands before touching anything. This habit has saved me so much by simply not touching anything in my house before I wash my hands from being out and about.
Lauren says
1. I’d love to try their Hair, Skin, and Nails vitamins!
2. Wash your hands whenever you can! Germs are everywhere
Taralynn McNitt says
Definitely!
Whitney says
Hi Taralynn!
I definitely want to try the hair, skin, and nails vitamin. I am a diabetic, so my nails and skin are thin and dry all the time, so any extra boost would help! I am also a nurse, so this fall it is important to stay healthy by washing your hands and keeping up with the vitamin C! Proper hand washing helps to reduce germs and illnesses significantly, and vitamin C is a great boost to your immune system. I cannot wait for scented candles and bonfires!
Sj Dc says
would love to try the The Hair, Skin, & Nails Biotin..cause vanity mainly!!!
but 1 health tip swear and live by is beginning my day with a mug of super hot water with lime/lemon..been doing it for years and it has made my health literally problem free particularly improving my gut and immunity
Taralynn McNitt says
I’ve actually heard of that! I started doing it in the mornings but stopped lol I just couldn’t get to my coffee fast enough!!
Cora Fox says
I’d like to try the ACV capsules! I currently drink a shot of it every day, but it’s hard on my stomach (I drink a glass of water immediately after). This seems like a much easier approach!
During colder months I really try to drink more water! I think it makes a big difference in overall health, and since it’s not hot out, a lot of people forget to hydrate.
Taralynn McNitt says
Yeah, I definitely need to drink more! & those ACV caps are so much easier!
Callie says
Those scented shower tablets look amazing! I’ve never even heard of those before, but I would love to try it! I’ve tried so many things to stop a cold before it comes, and the #1 tip I recommend is drink lots of water!! I have a big half gallon jug that I drink my water out of, and it’s amazing.
Taralynn McNitt says
They really are!!! You must try them!
LJ says
Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules–for when I run out the liquid!

Taralynn McNitt says
That is awesome!!
Haley says
I would love to try the blister cushions, they look awesome! To stay healthy in colder months I enjoy seasonal fruits and vegetables such as winter squash, kale, pomegranates & oranges!
Taralynn McNitt says
They are so awesome!
Christianne Neely says
I didn’t know the shower tabs were a thing! I would love to try those and the turmeric gummies!
Taralynn McNitt says
Yes! Just found them too!
Christianne Neely says
Also, to stay healthy I make sure that I take Vitamin C daily and some ACV daily
Katie says
I am super curious about the turmeric gummies. I try to use a lot of turmeric when I am cooking due to the anti-inflammatory properties, but sometimes it’s hard!
My tops tips for staying healthy in the cooler months are washing your hands, getting plenty of rest, and staying active. I am working on staying active when it is cold out–I would much rather just stay under a blanket and read 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
They’re so great for anti-inflammatory!
GREAT TIPS!
Kayla Johnson says
Thanks for the giveaway! What awesome items!
I would love to try the active lifestyle probiotic! I am always looking for a good one, and love to make sure my gut health is in check!
My health tip is to get plenty of sleep (I have a 9 month old so sometimes this one is a struggle for me). Also I’ve been focusing on eating a wholesome diet 90% of the time! Those two things seem to help me the most! 🙂
Steph F. says
The vitamin supplements or cold cups, anything to help create a barrier for the nasty bugs going around. I do at home workouts, so no excuse for me when it’s cold. Nothing like a sweaty workout to warm me up! lol
Taralynn McNitt says
That’s the good part of workouts in the winter!
Emily says
I would love to try the shower tablets! that is such a great idea; I can’t believe I haven’t noticed them before!
I’m a music therapist, so fall cold and allergies can be rough! I found for me the key is rest, hydration, and emergen-c as needed ☺
Taralynn McNitt says
I hadn’t noticed them either!
What a great job! 💜 Those tablets could help a lot with your allergies!
Hayley says
1.) I’d love to try the hair, skin, nails gummies. I love anything that helps my hair and skin look and be healthy.
2.) I drink 2 packets of emergen-c weekly. Usually every Monday and Friday. I haven’t gotten sick in years, because a dance teacher told us to do it for competition seasons, and I’ve done it ever since. I also make sure I’m getting enough sleep and rest, because if I don’t..I don’t feel healthy at all.
Taralynn McNitt says
Sounds like you’re on top of it!!
Sierra M. says
1. Hair, skin and nails gummies!
2.Tea! All fall! Helps keep warm and woart off colds!
Taralynn McNitt says
Definitely!
Meghan says
I would love to try the shower vapor tabs and the vitamin gummies! I take my hair, skin & nails gummy vitamins after dinner to curb my sweet tooth & I’m always looking for a better brand with no preservatives or artificial things.
My number 1 tip is SANITIZE! I sanitize my hands like crazy and wipe down door knobs, faucet handles, etc at least weekly in the winter. I also run an air purifier and use purifying essential oils in my diffuser.
Hayden S says
Hey there!
I have followed you since the beginning, but never actually commented! LOVE you and the blog so much!!
I would love to try any of the supplements or vitamins! I never budget for all these, but seems like I need to!
My tip for staying healthy during colder months is to stay active and continue to eat healthy even when all you want is unhealthy holiday food!
Rachael Caddell says
I would love to try the Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules! I know that Apple Cider Vinegar is super healthy for you but I HATE the taste. Taking it in a capsule would be much easier in my opinion! 🙂 My #1 tip for cold season is to not touch my face!! I know that’s the hardest thing for me to do but it’s also my #1 tip since that easily spreads germs to my ears, nose, and mouth!
Jennie says
I always hear about how great epsom salt baths are, I’d love to try lavender salts!! My best tip is to wash my hands as often as possible and clean surfaces like doorknobs, counters, etc. constantly, but with a toddler running around, sickness is hard to avoid!
Taralynn McNitt says
Yes! I agree! So important to keep things clean with a little one!
Cassie says
I’d love to try the shower tabs. I had no idea those were a thing and just got finished telling my boyfriend I feel a sickness coming on haha. Perfect timing.
My plan is to continue to stay as healthy as I can and keep all my good habit routines up. In the colder months it’s easy for me to let things go like drinking water, gym life, etc. I love being warm and a hermit haha. I plan to continue my gym schedule 6 days a week and keep up with my vitamins, water, stretching, etc.
I am sooo excited for fall colors, pumpkin and apple picking, crafts, the whole 9!
Beth sperry says
I would love to try the CVS blister cushions. I just started playing tennis and my feet are feeling it!
For the winter, I firmly believe in sleep and exercise. Keeps me healthy and going strong!
Taralynn McNitt says
Amen to that!
Bennie says
There are almost too many products to comment on here. I’d like to try the capsasin curcumin supplements and the shower tabs sound like a great waker-upper. I enjoy weekly soaks in an epsom bath (not so much during the hot summer months) so the bath salts would be a welcome plus.
Alyssa D. Mrozek says
I would love to try the Biotin gummies! They look tasty, and what is better than tasty and healthy?
My best tip for staying healthy in the Winter (though I’m still working on this) is taking in all the sunlight you can! Taking a walk at lunch, or anything to soak in all the rays makes a huge difference:)
Great Post! Love the bag!
Taralynn McNitt says
Thanks, Alyssa!
You’re right! Sunlight and that vitamin d fix is great for the mind and body!
Piper Killow says
I really am interested to try those Lavendar-scented shower tablets! I work as a nurse on nights and that sounds like the ultimate way to relax during my post-work shower and I have never used a shower tablet before I might have to go look for some today! My number one tip for staying healthy is WASH YOUR HANDS! Often! Not like just when you go to the bathroom, whenever you are about to touch something you will be eating or about to touch your face. That worked so well for me last year!
Annabelle says
I would love to try the hair skin and nails product! My skin is always dry so I need something to help rather than always putting on lotion.
Taralynn McNitt says
Biotin would definitely help!
Renee Diaz says
Which CVS Health Product would you like to try?
OMG the shower vapor tabs sounds heavenly! I’ve always been bummed with bath bombs because I don’t have a bathtub – only a stand-up shower. Now, I don’t have to FOMO anymore! I’m realllllly interested in trying these tabs! I’m especially obsessed with the smell of lavender so it’s totally up my alley.
What is your #1 tip for staying healthy during the colder months?
Workouts don’t have to be done outside or at the gym. You have a gym at home! Get your workout in, move your body somehow. Sometimes – cleaning the house is a good enough workout! Living in Seattle – working out indoors is sort of a necessity since it tends to be cold and sprinkling in the winter. I’ll still take my pups for early morning walks, but I get the bulk of my workout in at home (YouTube is a great workout resource) or at my gym.
Viki says
The item I’d like to try is biotin! I recently decided to embrace my naturally curly hair after years of straightening and frying it. Heard biotin can make it long and healthy!
And my big colder weather tip: Spend a little time outside! Even though its colder, the sun and all it’s vitamin D help your body absorb good things like calcium!
Taralynn McNitt says
Biotin is so great!
Allison says
I’d be interested in trying the vapor tabs! I’ve actually seen DIY recipes on Pinterest using baking soda and essential oils and I’ve been wanting to try it. I think Eucalyptus or mint would be really nice!
My mother-in-law swears by olive leaf to help fight colds and gave us a bunch of bottles. I’ve been trying it the last couple of years (take a couple of capsules a day when fighting something off) and it seems to help! I also love tea in the winter and always enough sleep!
I hope you’re staying safe and that the hurricane isn’t affecting you too badly – so scary!
Taralynn McNitt says
I’ve never heard of that! I’ll have to look into olive leaf!
& thank you! We are in the path of the storm and it’ll be here by this weekend, but hoping we don’t lose power! Praying for those on the coast!
Emma says
I’m super curious about those shower tabs. A lavender scented shower sounds so relaxing before bed. I also need to pick up those blister spots because walking my new puppy has been giving me lots of blisters.
I always try to keep my windows open in the fall and winter to get as much fresh air as possible. Especially when I was in college or living in an apartment with roommates, this was so helpful to keep from getting sick. Also taking vitamin C and zinc!
Taralynn McNitt says
I cannot wait until open-window season arrives!
Tracey Giannola says
Which CVS Health Product would you like to try?
– the gummies! i love gummies in general and would love these to have health benefits too!
What is your #1 tip for staying healthy during the colder months?
– I live in Michigan and during the winter getting a good sweat in is the best way to get rid of the horrible cold feeling! I also love have a friend to come along to a class or the gym with me
Taralynn McNitt says
ohhhhh Michigan is so cold!!! I lived in Detroit for a year!
Kaylin says
I think what I most need to try is the Lavender Epsom Salts. I’ve started to try to incorporate more “make time for me” moments into my weeks. In particular, I need time to just calm down and relax after particularly stressful days.
My number one tip for staying healthy during the winter is getting lots of sleep! Sleep is so important to our health.
Taralynn McNitt says
I agree!!
Sarah says
Love your blog, been reading for years!
In the coming months, my joints seem to bother me more and more. I usually use Epsom salt as part of my recovery, but the Tumeric Curcumin sounds intriguing! I will be interested in trying that this year to aid in joint pain.
I ramp up my vitamin c intake and sanitize everything. Extra hand washing and anti-bacterial wipes!
Taralynn McNitt says
Thanks so much, Sarah!!!
My joints do the same!!! I like the radiance glucosamine! Helps the achy joints.
Megan says
I’d love to try their Apple Cider Vinegar! I’ve been wanting to get in the habit of taking it every day but have yet to get started. I’m also a teacher with a two year old at home, so all of the antibacterial and health boosting products are right up my alley! My favorite tip to stay healthy in the fall and winter months is to keep drinking water – SO hard when all you want is coffee, hot apple cider and hot chocolate, but drinking hot green tea is an easy way for me to get both my water in and some health benefits!
Taralynn McNitt says
I agree, Megan! All I want is coffee in the winter and I need to start drinking more water!
Lesley says
We don’t have a CVS here in Anchorage (I check one out whenever I travel though), but those shower vapor tabs look amazing for a nice relaxing weekend shower. 🙂
During fall I make it my mission to be as hydrated as possible, I find that helps me stay healthy and helps ward off any potential illness.
Taralynn McNitt says
Luckily they have an online store 🙂
I need to follow in your footsteps and start drinking more!
Julie says
I love CVS! (1) I want to try the CVS shower vapor tabs. I’m so glad you mentioned them because I also had no idea they existed, but they sound amazing! (2) My #1 tip for staying healthy is hand sanitizer. I can’t say enough about how important it is to use! AND – Even though this is not health related, I wanted to mention another great deal. I purchase my hair color at CVS, and they have a program where after you buy 12 boxes, you get a free one. Who doesn’t love free products?!
Taralynn McNitt says
I love CVS too! Glad you’re a fan 🙂
Becky says
I would like to try the CVS Lavender Epsom Salts. I had no idea I could buy epsom salts at CVS! When I’m sick a warm bath helps me feel better, and the lavender epsom salts would take my bath to the next level!
My favorite simple trick to staying healthy in the colder months is to use a paper towel to open doors after washing my hands when I’m at work or in public. Most people don’t realize that door knobs/handles are full of germs! After I wash my hands, instead of throwing the paper towel away before leaving the restroom, I use it to open the door and then throw it away outside of the restroom.
Taralynn McNitt says
I do that after washing my hands in public bathrooms! You better believe a paper towel is opening up that door! lol

1. I would love to try the shower vapor tablets, a lavender shower sounds heavenly!
2. I stay healthy in the winter by keeping up with my fitness routine – New England winters are brutal and it’s easy just to curl up by the fire with a book, but I feel so much better if I get a workout in first!
Taralynn McNitt says
It is heavenly for sure!
Lindsay says
I’d like to try the ACV capsules!! I love ACV, but have never tried in capsule form! My biggest tip for staying healthy in the fall/winter is rest, fluids, and a flu shot!! This year will be a challenge with my one year old attending daycare. He brings home everything!! 🤦🏻♀️
Taralynn McNitt says
They are awesome! Especially since you don’t have to drink the stuff!
Courtney Haas says
I would love to try the shower tablets, especially if I get a cold. What I’ve done in the past, which doesn’t work very well lol, is a damp rag with essential oils on it! I’m sure the tablets will work a whole lot better!
To stay healthy during cold and flu season, I avoid drinking from or filling up my water bottles from water fountains! Ever since I stopped that, I rarely get sick!
Taralynn McNitt says
I need to drink more water!
The water fountains at the gym are always scary! I avoid those like crazy!
Victoria says
My #1 tip on staying healthy this season is vitamin up. A daily multivitamin but most important Vitamin C for the win all the way.
I’d love to try the CVS Health Lavender-Scented Shower Tablets. Those sound amazing!
Taralynn McNitt says
They are pretty awesome!!
tanya says
Never knew these existed, but would love to try the lavender-scented shower tablets, hands down! Also, my tip for not getting sick (at least for a while) – wipe down everything at your desk with Clorox wipes. Always helps me this time of year as I don’t catch the office cold for a while and when I do, it doesn’t last long.
Taralynn McNitt says
Love that you do this! Helps you and others stay healthy in the office!
Connie R. says
I’d like to try the fermented turmeric because I have been hearing a lot about turmeric and how great it is. Also, my favorite way to stay healthy when I start feeling sick is taking Ester-C tablets or gummies, which helps with immune support. My doctor had suggested that I take those because they are really good. I also lately have been taking Elderberry syrup, which is another one great for immune support and I find that they both really help if I start to feel sick, or even when I am sick. Thanks for the opportunity to win. 😀
Taralynn McNitt says
Yes, turmeric is one of the most amazing superfoods.
I’m glad you’re also using elderberry! Kyle’s mom got me hooked on it!

I would love to try CVS’ Health Hair, Skin, & Nails Biotin Gummies. My hair has always been super thin and taking biotin in the past has helped make it look healthier and fuller.
In the winter months I try to stay healthy by fueling my body with nutrient dense foods, and try to walk at least 30 minutes a day. If I ever feel a tickle in my throat I take airborne and drink lots of hot water with lemon and honey.
Looking forward to fall this and every year! I live in MI and love the changing of the leaves. Fall weather is the best!
Taralynn McNitt says
I agree! So excited for Fall!!
Have you taken the airborne lemon tablets in your hot water yet? It’s sooooo goood!
Ashley hoover says
I can’t wait to try the vapor shower tablet and Epsom salts. I get dried out in fall/winter I use Lucas’ Papaw ointment on my lips and even put it up my nostrils sortof with a q-tip to avoid germs when traveling! Got the tip from a Nicole Richie interview and it’s a good one
Taralynn McNitt says
Yes! I’ve heard of that!! I think it’s such a great tip, but who would have thought?!?! OH, OF COURSE, NICOLE RICHIE! lol
Erin says
The Biotin gummies! My hair grows sooo slow : (
Taralynn McNitt says
You definitely need these!!
Mollie says
Hi Taralynn!
I would love to try the probiotic because who doesn’t want good gut health 🤷🏼♀️ + the hair, skin, nails! My nails are constantly breaking and peeling! I am a nurse so I am exposed to a lot of illnesses…during the winter months it is crucial to wash your hands frequently <— #1 tip, cough into an area of your arm that doesn’t spray everywhere 🤮 and start taking a multivitamin!!!
Taralynn McNitt says
YES TO ALL OF THIS!
Liz says
Those shower vapor tabs sound really interesting and I’d most like to try that! I also recently found the manduka bandages and they’re awesome!
Best healthy tips are to wash your hands a lot and keep up with workouts! So many people get sick as the weather changes and I’ve found that as long as I’m really conscious about washing my hands (almost obsessively), and working out consistently, I can completely avoid getting sick myself.
Taralynn McNitt says
Those are great ways to avoid the sickness for sure!
Monika says
Hi Taralynn!!!
All of these items sound great. I’m really interested in that Manuka Honey Adhesive Strips. My go-to remedy for recovery is local honey. So I can get back to being a busy bee… Thanks for sharing, never heard of the Manuka honey adhesive strips.

I can’t live without my disinfecting wipes 🙃 My tip is to always disinfect shopping carts … we always do and one time we just completely forgot and the next day (all 5 of us) we all woke up super super sick. 😷 Now, I never forget lol especially in the colder days…
Taralynn McNitt says
Lol you can’t just give your kids the lollipops without trying the first….haha

Thanks for this post, I’ll be stopping by CVS tomorrow!

Taralynn McNitt says
Epsom salts are great for you since you’re a runner! Love that you’re on top of your health! xo
Nicole Lambert says
Hello All!!
I’d like be to try CVS’s hair, skin, and nails – I currently take a multi vitamin but sometimes we neglect the proper vitamins for the outside of our body as well!
I always make sure to get around eight hours of sleep each night, take Vitamin D (life saver!), and I steam my face and head about twice a week (amazing how it opens my sinuses!!)
Taralynn McNitt says
Yes sleep is definitely a lifesaver!
We used to always do steam buckets when we were sick!! Putting Vicks vapor rub at the bottom helps open up the sinuses!
Joye McInturff says
I would love to try those CVS shower tabs. I’ve tried others but it can get costly.

I have severe sinus problems and have needed surgery for about two years now, so anything new to help open up my airways would be amazing to try! My number one tip for staying healthy during the fall/ winter months is actually taking Align (a probiotic) everyday. I’ve found that by replenishing that good bacteria into my body, it has significantly decreased the number of times I’ve gotten sick in the last year. Great post Taralynn!
Taralynn McNitt says
Thanks, Susan!
Love that tip!

Heather says
Happy almost fall! Oh those shower bombs look amazing:))) Hydration and vitamin C are my definite go tos, however last winter we did elderberry syrup (homemade) and we didn’t get sick that is a new definite staple in our house. Cheers to health!
Taralynn McNitt says
Happy almost fall to you too!!
I have a bottle of the elderberry syrup with apple cider vinegar! It’s amazing! I’d love to hear more about this homemade version!
Heather says
Oh that sounds lovely:) I LOVE this homemade recipe that was given to me by a neighbor:
Elderberry Syrup
Makes 4 cups
Ingredients
• 2/3 – 1 cup dried black elderberries, or you can substitute 1 & 1/3 cups fresh or frozen elderberries; I just like the dried kind so I can use it for other various things!
• 3.5 cups water
• 1 cup raw honey (local if possible)
• 2 Tbsp fresh or dried ginger root
• ½ tsp cloves or clove powder
• 1 tsp cinnamon powder
Instructions
• Place 3.5 cups water into medium to large saucepan and add the elderberries, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon.
• Bring the mixture to a boil then cover and reduce to a simmer for about 50-65 minutes. You are looking for the liquid to reduce by half!
• Remove it from the head and let it cool until you can handle it.
• Then mash the elderberries using a spoon or other flat utensil, but be gentle so they don’t jump out and stain stuff Poor kitchen towels! Haha.
• Then pour that through a strainer and place the liquid into a glass container that can hold around 16-20 ounces; I prefer Mason Jars. You can discard the elderberries.
• Once the mixture has cooled down, add in the honey and mix it well.
• Then you just keep it in your fridge and take 1 Tbsp daily, unless you get really sick then you can take 1 Tbsp every couple of hours until your illness goes away!
Taralynn McNitt says
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I had to screenshot this!
Dee Pennabaker says
I would love to try the shower tabs. I found them at Cracker Barrel but wasn’t sure where to find more cost effective ones! But I would also love to try gummy vitamins for my vitamin C and D3. Gummy vitamins for adults just sound fun and actually tasty!
Staying healthy during the winter for me is staying active even when I want to be cuddled and cozy! I take Zinc daily and it helps a lot!
Taralynn McNitt says
Couldn’t agree more! Kyle and I made a pact to go to the gym as much as we can during the colder months !

Erica Bosco says
Hi Taralynn,
I would love to try the Health Hair, Skin, & Nails Biotin Gummies! I have tried other brands of the hair, skin & nails and I would like to compare and try out all of their products! You always rave about everything so it would be great to test things out. 🙂
I try and stay healthy by taking advantage of classes at my gym instead of outdoor activities and not indulge in comfort foods when it is a cold, winter day and make healthy soups and still chug water all day at work.
I also LOVE Vera Bradley so the bag is awesome! 😀
Taralynn McNitt says
It’s a great bag to bring to the gym with you during the winter classes! Lots of room for hand sanitizer lol
Mariah says

Taralynn McNitt says
Sunshine definitely helps! I feel lucky to have dogs that force me out in it!
Rachel Bond says
1. ACV capsules. I love ACV for my hair and skin, but I just can’t do the taste.
2. SOUP! Not only is it warm and comforting in the cold months, but it’s an easy way to sneak in extra veggies.
Taralynn McNitt says
I can definitely get down with some soup!
Alexandra C says
I would LOVE to try the shower vapor tabs – I tried to make some on my own and it was an epic fail so I’m SO excited that they have some pre-made for me 🙂 As for keeping healthy during cold and flue season, I am a hand sanitzer maniac. I work with small kiddos and germs are everywhere – hand sanitizer is on my desk in an upcycled Health Aid Kombucha bottle that I use all throughout the day.
Taralynn McNitt says
Such a great idea!
Kate says
1. I think those throat relief suckers look pretty excellent…especially since I have a 3 year old who seems to pick up every single cold that goes around each year. But the cranberry jellybeans?? That sounds delicious and healthy.
2. We live in Michigan where the colder months can get pretty nasty but we do our absolute best to get outside for a walk everyday even if it’s just a short one. The fresh air is so helpful and we’re all in a better mood when we get a little bit of outside time everyday.
Taralynn McNitt says
They are awesome!
I know how cold the midwest can be! I lived in Detroit during the coldest winter (the whole snowpocalypse thing) so I feel ya!!!!
Christie Cisneros says
Hi! I would love to try the CVS Health Manuka Honey Adhesive Strips! I am so curious to see how it works! Sounds very interesting! Thank you! 💕
Taralynn McNitt says

I would love to try either the fermented turmeric capsules or the ACV capsules. I love taking both but I have never tried them in capsule form.

Taralynn McNitt says
Yes, I’m so guilty of this!
Amy R says
Crazy as it may sound, I have never had an epsom salt bath! I will have to give that a try (win or not)
I’m also curious about all of the vitamins! (I ❤️Gummies)
To stay healthy in the colder months I spend lots of time cooking at home, roasting veggies for dinner and lunch.

1. I would love to try either one of their probiotics! I had no clue they sold probiotics. I’m definitely going to check those out.
2. I always keep Throat Coat and EmergenC on hand during the winter. They are the best products when you feel a cold coming on.
P.S. I love that they carry tennis balls too. Very convenient! lol I hate walking around Wal-Mart to find one can of tennis balls at the BACK of the store. 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
Hahahaha yes! I’m so glad you get me with this!! Who wants to walk a mile into a big store to grab tennis balls?! NOT ME!
Hannah says
I’m so excited to try the hair, skin, & nails gummies!! I just recently (within the past month) broke the horrible habit of biting my nails for around two decades and my nails need ALLLL the help they can get as I work on healing them and making them strong! I know that helping them to look their best will also help me to resist the urge to start biting them again. I’ve heard great things about biotin and have had success with it when I used it in the past to help my hair grow stronger and longer before donating it. I’m excited to see what results I have with using it for my nails!
Starting a new job in a hospital setting makes me so much more aware of germs and bacteria during the dreaded cold and flu season. My best advice to stay healthy is to drink LOTS of water, carry around a cute mini bottle of hand sanitizer, ALWAYS make use of the sanitizing wipes at the grocery store before you put your hand on your cart (and then touch all your fresh produce with those germy hands), load up on lots of fresh fruits and veggies for extra immune support, and find ways to manage stress daily to take care of your body! Wishing everybody a healthy and happy fall and winter season!
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Hannah!
The biotin gummies are AWESOME!!! Especially for the winter hair and skin!
Congrats on your new job but I’m sure you have to be extra cautious working in the health field!

Lots of walking around gives me blisters and that’s the worst during vacation 🙁 … would love to give those a try to see if they help prevent blisters. My healthy tip is lots of green tea, I have a cup every morning with lemon. I also add electrolytes powder to my water 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
Wow you are a traveling b! You’re going to have a blast so it’s important to stock up on those health products!!
Amanda McCaffrey says
1. I would love to try those shower vapo tabs! I get horrific sinus headaches and I have a feeling nice steam with one in the shower would feel lovely. Also the probiotics!
2. My biggest tip was always hydrate hydrate hydrate! I lived in a very, very dry and cold climate (-40 degrees celcius was normal in the winter!) and as soon as you let your body dry out, BOOM, flu or cold bug. So I always had a humidifier going and drinking water and tea. But I’ve since moved to the exact opposite climate so I guess I’ll have to find a way to survive the winter here! I’ve been told stay dry, as soon as you get damp you don’t dry out until May, lol!
Taralynn McNitt says
They are GREAT for sinus headaches. I was just telling my dad this yesterday!

Love epsom salt baths!
Ciera says
Would love to try the Epsom salts. I’m training for a half marathon in January, so that sounds helpful! And my biggest advice for colder months is to drink lots of tea and coffee for warm and cozy “comforts” instead of going for cream/syrup heavy drinks and soups.

Epsom salts are incredible for training and recovery!

Jennifer says
I would love to try the Hair, Skin, and Nails Biotin Gummies! Always looking for something to give those three things a healthy boost 😊 My biggest tip is to balance moving your body and sleep. It can be so tempting to lay in bed when it’s super cold outside and stay up late watching your favorite seasonal movies!
Taralynn McNitt says
That temptation is REAL.

Shower vapor tabs, I think.
Taralynn McNitt says
They’re awesome!

1. I’m very excited to try the Hand sanitizing wipes. My skin is so sensitive that it hard to find hand sanitizing gel that doesn’t make them break out in a reaction and I’m left looking like Mr. Krabs.
2. My number one tips are actually try and drink the right amount of water in the day, sleeping so so so much, and when i think i have “allergies” (which always turns out to be a cold) to actually stay home and sleep instead of working through it. Makes it better SO much faster.
Taralynn McNitt says
hahaha laughing so hard at your Mr. Krabs ref!!!
Your tips are on point! Being in tuned with your body and health is important.
Oli says

Emily H. says
Read up on this beforehand! I heard it is deadly for dogs!! Just trying to share some good advice 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
Actually I think I’ve heard that too!!! I’ll look into it!
Taralynn McNitt says
Here’s what I found
“Research shows tea tree oil is safe for dogs and cats and effective only when it is diluted correctly – i.e., diluted in large amounts of water. The recommended ratio is 0.1-1.0 percent strength, to be dispensed topically. Oral application is not safe for your pet”
Emily H. says
Thanks for looking that up! My mom had mentioned it to me since I have tea tree oil and use it for things (such as lovely pimples for instance) but I had never diffused it and after I heard that I got super nervous!
Taralynn McNitt says
Yeah, I always get worried about using new things around the dogs!
tanya says
I would love to try the bath bombs. I have heard of them but have not tried them

As a healthcare worker I am exposed to so many germs so every year I tell myself I need to start being religious with taking my vitamins. I have yet to find a vitamin that I like so I am especially interested in trying the CVS multivitamin gummies!!

Apple Cider Vinegar capsules!! Yes! I’ve tried to choke down the real deal and Just. Can’t. Dooooo it!
My formula for winter health is to stay active, always have hand sanitizer at the ready, and since I’m a nurse, I am required to get the flu shot. I know it’s not for everyone, but works for me!
Taralynn McNitt says
Hahaha I don’t blame you! I have to mix the vinegar with things!
Steph says
I would love the Throat Relief Pops. I work in a doctors office which is germ city (especially in the winter!). A sore/scratchy throat is one of the first things I notice when I start to not feel well.
My tip would be making time for self care. For me in the fall/winter that means coming home after work and having some hot, decaffeinated tea, putting on some cozy fuzzy socks and reading a good book. Good for the physical and mental health 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
I think the relief pops are just as awesome for adults!!
yes, self are for sure!
Morgan says
1. I’d love to try the probiotics!! I have lots of stomach problems and I’ve read a lot about probiotics but haven’t tried them yet!!
2. Sitting by a fire with soft blankets is my fav in the winter!
Taralynn McNitt says
Mine too!! I don’t even turn the heat on. I usually let the fireplace warm the whole living room 🙂
Ellie Wright says
I would like to try the CVS Health Hair, Skin, & Nails Biotin Gummies. I hate taking pills, so these are perfect for me.
I always carry sanitizing wipes with me during the winter. My boys have severe asthma, so we try to avoid colds and definitely the flu every year. I wipe them down after we go to stores or pretty much anywhere during germy season.
Taralynn McNitt says
You’re a great mom! I bet the wipes are so convenient for you and the family!
Candice McDonald says
1. I would love to try the vapor tablets for the shower. It would be perfect for relaxing or clearing sinuses.
2. My #1 tip to stay healthy in the colder months is to continue to be active and try to find fun things to do outdoors as much as possible.
Taralynn McNitt says
I think that certainly helps mental health as well! Seasonal blues are real.
Jenna Samuels says
I’d love to try the apple cider vinegar pills! My favorite way to stay healthy during colder months is to make sure I get out of the house every day-even if it is cold and rainy!
Taralynn McNitt says
Yes! That connection with nature is so important!
Ashley says
1. The turmeric supplements! I struggle with inflammation, too. The weather change definitely affects my body and mood, but turmeric could be a natural solution.
2. In the winter, I swear by my heated blanket and essential oils. Whenever I start feeling sick, I diffuse an oil blend and snuggle under the warm blanket. I usually feel better the next morning!!
Taralynn McNitt says
They are SO GREAT!! Winter and inflammation go hand in hand for me, so the turmeric helps!
Courtney Haas says
I really want to try the shower vapor tabs!
My #1 stay healthy rule is to not use public water fountains at. all! I won’t drink from them or fill water bottles from them. I rarely get sick now and I get sick after using a water fountain every time!
If this is a repost, I apologize. I tried to post earlier and it didn’t show up, so I figured I’d try again 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
I have ALWAYS had a thing against the water fountains lol The only time i use them is at the airport fillup up my bottle!
Lauren says
I need to try out some of those hand sanitizer wipes…probably going to pick some up next time I’m at CVS! My #1 tip for staying healthy in the winter is to keep your hands clean! Riding the bus/working in a big office exposes me to tons of bacteria every day so I’m extra careful to wash my hands and use sanitizer frequently to fight off germs and stay healthy!
Taralynn McNitt says
They come in handy. I like to keep a pack in my purse and in my car! Glad you’re staying healthy and cautious of all the floating germs on the bus! 💜
Kimberly Truong says
I woukd love to try those apple cide vinegar tablets. I think my #1 tip for not getting sick is allergy medicine before I go to sleep and nasal spray. Also lysol everything….

I dont like the way it tastes in my water so this will be much easier for me
I love cvs too!!
Taralynn McNitt says
Wooo glad you also love CVS!
Liz says
The hair skin and nails vitamins! And my secret weapon is gargling with mouth wash daily, sometimes multiple times a day if I feel a sore throat coming on. My mom swears by this and I used to fight her on it but now I’ve kinda bought into the idea that it does help fight off germs.
Taralynn McNitt says
Your mom is smart!
Blair says
I’d be curious to try the vapor tabs for the shower! I’m not a big bath person but to use something in the shower would be awesome! My biggest winter help is airborne daily keeps the sickness way, I swear by it!
Taralynn McNitt says
Don’t have to convince me twice! LOVE airborne!

Taralynn McNitt says
I can totally agree with that!
carol clark says
take plenty of emergen c that is a good way to keep yourself feeling better
Taralynn McNitt says
Indeed!
Susie @ Mile High Dreamers says
I LOVE that CVS has made the commitment to promote and support a healthier lifestyle. I especially appreciate the fact that they even stopped selling cigarettes, that’s a huge deal!
As a teacher I do NOT have time for being sick so all of the preventative stuff is high on my list. I would definitely want to try the turmeric capsules because I’ve heard of alllll the benefits of it but I’m not a huge fan of the teas or powder.
My #1 tip is good old fashion sleep (PLENTY of sleep) and hand washing! And I’m pretty convinced it works because I work with 1st graders and I NEVER get sick (knock on wood!), so it must be doing something!
SO excited for all things FALL! Woo hoo!
Taralynn McNitt says
I agree, Susie! I love their commitment!
I have no doubt your desk is filled with all the germ killers!
Your tips are soooooo on point!!
Emily H. says
1. I would love to try the active lifestyle probiotic!
2. I don’t sound as germaphobic as you (no judgment) but i do keep hand sanitizer in my car and purse! Gotta have it at all times!
Taralynn McNitt says
The active Lifestyle probiotic was such a fun find!
Glad you keep it with you!!
Summer Hyche Harrell says
I would love to try the CVS Health Apple Cider Vinegar tablets!
In the winter, I struggle with Seasonal Depression, so I take extra vitamin D which helps. I also moisturize a ton and drink lemon ginger tea!
Taralynn McNitt says
We are very similar. I have to drink lots of ginger tea, stay active, and take vitamin D to help with the seasonal blues!
Lindsey says
I really need to add a multivitamin to my daily routine, I only take vitamin C! I would love to try the women’s platinum vitamins since you enjoy them. I truly value your opinion and trust your recommendation! To stay healthy in the fall, I honestly stick to a regular sleep schedule. With the darker days, I find it easy to want to go to bed early and sleep in later- which isn’t good for my overall wellbeing! If I sleep too much, I miss life and social events. Plus, I end up more tired!
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi Lindsey!
You are so right. As soon as it gets dark, I want to crawl into bed! I’m going to try my hardest to keep to routine this year!
Emily Paolucci says
I definitely want to try the episom salt tablets and my no.1 tip during flu season would be SLEEP to keep your immune system up!!!!!!
Taralynn McNitt says
I couldn’t agree more!
Mary says
I’m really interested in trying their vitamins. I’m always looking for the right supplements for the right price and these may just prove to be it!
My tip for staying healthy as the cold weather comes in is to keep up with your health routine. The cold makes me want to stay in, snuggle up, and eat comfor foods. But doing that just leads me to feel worse. Keep eating right and keep up that gym routine and your body will thank you.
Taralynn McNitt says
Agree!
Wendy Cooney says
1. I’d love to try the sore muscle spray!
2. I have a terrible immune system and found drinking a few sips of pickle juice helps if I ever feel sick! It must be the vinegar. I love pickles, but still struggle with drinking the juice. But the benefits are worth it! It’s also really good for sore muscles
Taralynn McNitt says
It works wonders!!
Peyton Pender says
I would love to try those hand sanitizer wipes! And I take vitamin D supplements in the winter to try and stay healthy!
Taralynn McNitt says
The wipes are so convenient!

Kirstie says
1. I want to try the lavender Epsom salts!! I’m currently soaking in the tub after my workout, 10 weeks pregnant, and think those would be just the thing for me!
2. My number 1 tip is just to get enough sleep! My body is so quick to get sick after a few nights of little sleep, and I feel like we all take a good night’s sleep for granted.
Taralynn McNitt says
Congrats on your pregnancy! How exciting! I feel like I’d be living in CVS if I were in your shoes lol I’d grab all the chocolate, Epsom salt, slippers, face mask, and all the pampering products!
Sleep is magical and does wonders for the body!
Kelsey W. says
Hey Taralynn! I can’t wait to try the CVS Health Turmeric Curcumin Gummies! I didn’t even know that was a thing, but what a great way to take that supplement! In the colder months, I give myself a daily dose of apple cider vinegar with the mother. About 2 teaspoons into a cold glass of water. I swear by it!
I hope you have a great week and I hope you are safe from the hurricane <3
xo Kelsey
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Kelsey!
Those gummies are life! (plus they taste so good)
I do lemon water and try doing an apple cider vinegar with ginger to reduce the “sourness” lol You’re brave doing it alone!
Kelsey says
I would love to try the apple cider vinegar capsules. I always hear about the amazing benefits but don’t love the taste just mixed with water! I feel like this is a great alternative. I work with special needs kids in a school and feel like it’s so easy to get sick during the winter. I try to wash my hands / use hand sanitizer, use daily vitamin C packets, drink warm water with lemon / honey, drink kombucha and stay active. I feel likemhot yoga and sweating it all out also really helps!
Taralynn McNitt says
Great tips!
Suzanne Lane says
1. The vapor tabs for the shower sound amazing! I’ve used the menthol cold ones for when I’m sick but I didn’t know they have fun smells too!
2. Washing hands frequently and taking a multivitamin daily is how I stay healthy.
Taralynn McNitt says
They are great for sickness!!
Those are very important things for sure!
Sara says
1. Hands down the main product I’d like to try is the lavender shower tabs! I used to get eucalyptus ones for my sinuses ands haven’t seen them in a while. I didn’t know CVS carried anything like that!
2. I avoid sickness by eating at home (you never know who is touching your food! ) and eating lots of vegetables for a healthy inside! Plus the usual hand washing 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!
Miranda Neff says
Hello!!! 🙂 I’ve tried hair/nail things before and they have tasted HORRIBLE so I would be interested in trying them from CVS in gummy form! My mom does the apple cider tablets and swears by it so that would be cool too! I work at a natural/organic dietary supplement company and people SWEAR by elder berries in the winter. This winter I am going to try and use those as a “trick” to staying healthy! (While also simultaneously avoiding other people who do not wash their hands like the plague 😉 )
Taralynn McNitt says
These biotin vitamins are delicious! I have a hard time only taking 2!
YES AMEN TO ELDERBERRIES!!!
Kelsey says
I would love to try the apple cider vinegar capsules! I always hear about the amazing benefits but have struggled with the taste. I think this is a great alternative!
I work with special needs kids in a school and feel like its so easy to get sick. My tricks have been washing my hands/hand sanitizer, vitamin c packets, drink warm water with lemon and honey, drink kombucha and stay active. Sweating it out at hot yoga always seems to help!
Taralynn McNitt says
Great ways to stay healthy!
Ann says
LOVE to try the cranberry jelly beans!
And, I always use a germ fighting essential oil everyday before heading out!
#germfreak
Taralynn McNitt says
Germfreak over here too!
Jessica says
I am really interested in trying those turmeric gummies. Whenever I cook chicken I throw a little turmeric in there with it. But because I am trying to not eat as much meat, I am not reaping those anti-inflammatory benefits of turmeric.
My #1 tip for staying healthy in the colder months is to move my body! Getting the blood pumping helps the circulatory system, which helps your white blood cells to move throughout the body as well. We need those white blood cells to fight off infections. So even though it is cold, and I would rather wrap up with a good book, I get my butt moving!
Taralynn McNitt says
You’ll definitely benefit from those gummies!
ahhhh such a great tip, Jessica!
Kayleen says
I’d love to try the shower tabs. I tried to make my own using an online recipe and they didn’t work super well- it sounds like these would be a better option!
And I wash my hands all time to prevent getting sick! I’m a teacher and am basically walking into a pool of germs every day!
Taralynn McNitt says
You definitely have to stay on top of the germs! Wipes will be your best friend!!
These tabs are just amazing!
Courtney says
I’d love to try the muscle spray, working in a salon sore muscles come with the job so that sounds amazing.
On that same note coming into contact with so many people in a day my best advice is a vitamin C pill every morning. The key however is to start taking it in August to have in build up in your system by the time fall rolls around.
Taralynn McNitt says
Great tip!!
Rena says
I def would love to try the probiotic.
One way to keep healthy in the winter is that I don’t slack on my gym routine!!
Taralynn McNitt says
Definitely! An active lifestyle in the winter is ideal for mental health too!
Karla says
I would like to try the Turmeric Gummies! Stopping at 1 gummy is hard to do! ☺️
My number one go to for staying healthy are Zinc tablets!
Taralynn McNitt says
Great tip!
Ashlyn Cato says
The CVS Health lavender scented shower tablets definitely caught my eye, that product sounds so dreamy and relaxing!! Also, the manuka honey adhesive strips would be very interesting to try.
I work in the dental field so my number one go to would have to be hand sanitizer, especially when cold season comes around. Girl my car, purse, station area at work, spray, gel, wipes I have it all lol!
Taralynn McNitt says
Great products! Especially for relaxing and opening up those sinuses!
Ohhhhh yes!!!!
Courtney says
1. I’d love to try the jelly beans because well…jelly beans!
2. I try my best to eat lots of fruits and veggies during flu season…best medicine on the planet!
Taralynn McNitt says
You’re right about that!
Jackie says
Long time reader, first time commenter 🙂

2. It’s all about vitmin c, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.
Taralynn McNitt says

The shower tablets are life-changing and it actually makes me want to take showers now! (lol kidding)
Those are two of the most important things for sure!!
Brie Banowetz says
1. I would love to try all of the vitamins! I have a suppressed immune system and want to try anything and everything to stay healthy this year!
2. I am a teacher, so I am around germs all day and my number one tip is HAND SANITIZER! I carry little bottles with me everywhere. I also think during such a busy time it is important to take time to pamper yourself, cause me-time makes a healthier me.
Taralynn McNitt says
I’m sure hand sanitizer is your best friend! Especially since you work at the school!
Katie says
I would love to try the healthy hair skin & nails biotin gummies! I hear they really work well.
My number one tip is to drink lots of tea! I find it so soothing and delicious in addition to the health benefits! My favorite is to make a ginger honey lemon tea 🍯 🍋 🍵
Taralynn McNitt says
You speak to my heart with ginger lemon tea! My favorite!
Erin says
I keep wanting to start taking probiotics and never remember!
Taralynn McNitt says
CVS has soooooo many to choose from!
Bri Runde says
I think I’d want to most try the ACV capsules, just because to this day I still almost puke drinking ACV.
Rest! Lots of rest!!
Taralynn McNitt says
Amen for rest!
Emily says
Hi!
I love this post- I think that all of these products would be awesome to try, but what intrigued me the most were the active lifestyle probiotics. I’ve taken probiotics in the past, but I’ve only had the type you need to keep in the refrigerator. I think these are much more practical! My healthy tip for the colder months is to drink tea. It’s so soothing, and the brand yogi has some great healthy options that support your immune system and so on.
Taralynn McNitt says
Thanks, Emily!
Yes those pills are so much easier and they have so many lifestyle probiotics to choose from at CVS!
I feel like tea is all I want to drink in the winter and it does help. You’re right!
Liv says
The shower tablets sound amazing, and the Apple cider tablets are a super unique way to get that supplement in….so I’d be interested to try both!
My best tip for beating winter is to drink lots of water and remember to use lotion…..during the cold months, we never want to, but that’s when we need it the most!
Always love the posts, Tara!
Taralynn McNitt says
Thanks, Liv!
Both great products 😀
Lotion is my best friend in the winter!
Sarah says
1. Would love to try the shower vapour tabs! They sound very interesting!
2. During winter, I swear by (it’s been said before) daily vitamin C tablets. But if a cold does get through, then a hot toddy before bedtime works miracles! (Hot water, lemon, honey, cinnamon and a drop of whisky)
Taralynn McNitt says
That is a magic cure!
Halie Sutton says
I’d love to try either the mood probiotics or the active lifestyle probiotics! And my favorite way to stay healthy during the colder months is to drink extra extra water. I know it’s something people focus on in the summer, but staying hydrated is just as important during the winter!
Taralynn McNitt says
You couldn’t be more right!
Tracy says
Shower vapor tabs! Need to try those!
Taralynn McNitt says
Yes you do!
Leslee Merasty says
I’d love to try the shower tablets!! Or basically anything you would recommend. ✊😁💕
My tip for staying healthy during the colder months is to push past the cold and get out to where you can get your workouts done! Or stay home and do them if you have a good home workout program.
Also, try putting a healthy spin on your holiday favourite treats and drinks! There’s a tons out there that you could whip up. I like healthy hot chocolate with cocoa. ☺️💕
Taralynn McNitt says
Awww thanks, Leslee!!
Home workouts are always convenient in the winter, plus you lower the risk of catching a cold from the gym!
Yessssss!!! always love a healthy spin!
Tracy says
Excited about the shower vapor tabs!
And my tip for staying healthy is to prioritize going to bed on time… skimping on sleep is a surefire way for me to get sick!
Taralynn McNitt says
Same with me, Tracy!
Lydia B. says
1. The vapor shower tabs caught my eye. Sometimes when I’m congested, a good shower is the fix! And these would be a great addition to that.
2. Good sleep, extra-good hygiene (washing hands, sneezing in my elbow rather than hands, wiping down the shopping cart, etc.), and a good ol’ flu shot!
Taralynn McNitt says
Great tips, Lydia!
Katie says
1. I want to try the vapor tabs because I have never even heard of them and they sound interesting.
2. Best tip to stay healthy is stay hydrated and get plenty of rest.
🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
Great tips, Katie!
Rebecca says
I would love to try the probiotic supplement! I take probiotic drinks but a supplement would be nice for on the go or when I’m in a hurry.
I always make sure to take antioxidant supplements and extra vitamin C every day.
Taralynn McNitt says
That’s a great tip, especially since a lot of the fruit high in antioxidants aren’t as accessible in the winter!
Danielle says
I’m most excited to try the Hot and Cold Muscle Spray! My #1 tip is turmeric golden milk for preventing illness as well as to help ease symptoms in case I end up getting sick. 🍂💛
Taralynn McNitt says
I just bought a new turmeric golden milk kit so I look forward to trying it!
Naomi says
I’d love to try the shower tabs and gummy vitamins!
My top winter tips would be eating kiwi fruit (vitamin c) everyday, drinking lemon honey ginger, and making sure your feet and head are always warm! Those gummy vitamins could fix my vitamin c fix on holiday!
Taralynn McNitt says
Great choices!
Love those tips! Gotta keep the limbs warm! 😀

Love those tips! Gotta keep the limbs warm! 😀
Shru says
1. I really need to try the Radiance Platinum womens vitamins!
I always wanted to start taking multivitamins and i think there is no better time to start than the flu season.
But all these products sound so great, I think I should start going to CVS more often, i hope I win this sooo bad XD
2. It’s a nanny tip, but my favourite thing to do this season is diy steam inhalation (i also love to put some turmeric in!!)
If you don’t do this already you should (also read more about it to make sure it’s okay for you to do this)
I’m pasting a few benefits I found online on healthline:
The main benefit of breathing in moist, warm steam is that may help ease feelings of irritation and swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages. The moisture may also help thin the mucus in your sinuses, which allows them to empty more easily. This can allow your breathing to return to normal, at least for a short period of time.
Steam inhalation may provide some temporary relief from the symptoms of:
the common cold
the flu (influenza)
sinus infections (infectious sinusitis)
bronchitis
nasal allergies
Lol, okay a bigg comment but this really was so helpful to me, I hope it helps someone else too!
Love,
Shru
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Shru!
Those are great vitamins!
I loveeeeee the steam inhalation! We do it with Vicks vapor rub.
We’ve been doing it since we were little kids!!

I definitely want to try the shower vapor tabs! They sound awesome and I didnt know they existed.
I always make sure im taking vitamins and any immunity support products I can find (airborne, zinc tabs, etc). I get colds so easily so I try to stay on top of it, but looks like ill have to hit CVS up and try some more products! 😊
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Stacy!
I had no idea they existed either and was so happy when CVS introduced them to me!
Those are all great products to keep with you in the winter! And CVS has ALLLLLL of them! 😀
Megan says
I need those shower tabs in my life! Seasonal allergies for me are no joke! 😅 Keeping up on my self-care during the colder months is key. If my mental health isn’t good, then I’ll definitely get sick!
Love reading your blog! You have motivated me to walk my pup so much more 💕
Taralynn McNitt says
Thanks so much, Megan! Glad you’re getting out there with your pup! We live for our walks.
Those shower tabs will be your best friends since you have allergies!
Jessica Karcher says
1. I would like to try the apple cider vinegar capsules. I know apple cider is supposed to be amazing for us, but I can’t stand shooting it like a gun slinger at a saloon or trying to mix it with other stuff and pretend like I still don’t taste it. I feel like the pill form would be easier to swallow. 🤣😂
2. Essential oils with my diffuser and lots of vitamin C are how I stay healthy in winter months.
Taralynn McNitt says
Great ways to stay healthy!
The pills are much easier than starting your morning with that dreaded shot! haha
Amanda says
The lavender shower tabs sound wonderful! My #1 tip is hand sanitizer and hand washing. Lots of it!
Taralynn McNitt says
Oh yes!!
Emily says
I’m really curious about the turmeric pills! I’m not a big fan of the flavor by itself, so I don’t get to enjoy any of the benefits!
My best tips for staying healthy in the winter are to stay active and eat healthy to keep your immune system strong! And when a cold does inevitably come on, I swear by Zicam!
Taralynn McNitt says
The pills are so convenient for people who need the benefits but don’t enjoy the taste!

Taralynn McNitt says

Jennifer W says
The shower vapor tabs sound amazing! I had never heard of those before, and I will be making a trip to CVS this weekend to pick some up! I am in Florida so we don’t have too much cold weather, but I think it is important to stay hydrated in warm or cold weather. I like to drink lemon water first thing in the morning, lots of regular water throughout the day and a nice cup of herbal tea to end the day!
I keep a “sick” box stocked in my house with all the essentials for colds. Tissues, cough drops, cold medicine, vitamins and hand sanitizing wipes are a must. A lot of the prodcuts you mentioned would be great for this box!
Alyssa Connolly says
The CVS Health Mood Support Probiotic sounds really interesting! I’d love to give that a try. My number one tip is staying active and really paying attention to any first signs of getting a cold. That way, you can stop it before it starts!
Taralynn McNitt says
Agree!!
Katie Courkamp says
Definiately excited to try the shower vapor tabs!
Those look awesome!
My tip for staying healthy is getting enough sleep, vitamin C, and WATER! I find it harder to drink water in the cooler months so sometimes I add a mint tea bag to my water bottle.

Ohhhh i’ll have to try adding mint!

Vitamin c!
Taralynn McNitt says

I’m a PA student, so I’m around other students all day long and I love to try and keep healthy in the colder months by keeping some Vitamin C on hand (and multivitamins too!). Lindsey St Onge says
There are so many CVS Health products I would love to try! I’m definitely looking forward to trying the Shower Vapor Tabs, as well as the Radiance Platinum Fermented Turmeric Capsules! As a nurse I know how important it is to stay on top of your health during the colder months. I usually drink one of the Emergen-C drink mixes before starting my day! The raspberry flavor is my favorite 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
Both great products!!
I haven’t had the raspberry!! I’ll have to try it!
Carrie says
I definitely want to try the Manuka Honey Strips. I have never heard of those before. But, have heard of all the benefits of Manuka Honey in healing.
Besides eating healthy and staying hydrated my number one tip to stay healthy is getting plenty of sleep. Especially during flu season!!
Taralynn McNitt says
They are awesome!!
Melissa Herrmann says
I would love to try the probiotics and also maybe the ACV capsules. Though I do love the taste of ACV anyway. But my number one tip to stay healthy is to make my own elderberry syrup and take it daily and extra when we or someone we know is sick. What a great giveaway!
Taralynn McNitt says
You do!?!??!?! WUUUUUT lol
Yes, can’t get enough of elderberry and I’m excited to make my own!
Emily says
I would want to try the apple cider vinegar capsules! Maybe they’ll go down easier than the stuff in a spoon!

Thanks for such a fun give away! 😊
Lindsay Hart says
I’d love to try those gummies! They sound fantastic! Since its so cold here in Canada, I try to start acclimating to the cold as early as possible. It might be silly, but I feel that getting used to the cold makes you physically and mentally tough.

Lol it most likely does!

As an opera singer, I would love to try the throat lozenges as well as the shower tabs. Anything to keep allergies/ colds at bay helps me sing one more day!

I eat 1-2 cloves of fresh black garlic every day. In case you never heard of it this comes from an old Japanese tradition ( because I didn’t see you mention it in your blog if you do know my apologies). It is regular garlic fermented 1+ month at certain temperature, humidity etc. conditions. It tastes great, doesn’t upset the stomach like regular garlic, doesn’t give you garlic breath and has more than double the antioxidant power of regular black garlic. And I have seen a big difference since I started using it.
K. Hanson says

CVS is our go-to when we are in KC now! We had the Abound White Cheddar Popcorn last weekend while we relaxed in our AirBnb! I am DEFINITELY going to keep an eye out for all those gummies. My husband does not like to take pills – what better way to make sure HE stays healthy and well during this flu season, too?! (because, neither of us get the flu shot… too many bad experiences and horror stories…)
My favorite thing (especially at work) is Thieves cleaner to kill alllll the germs! It’s seriously crazy. If you YouTube Thieves cleaner comparisons, your mind might be blown. It’s gross to see what some ordinary germs can grow into, even when in contact with some of the most popular cleaners, like Lysol and such.
That, and hot tea with a little honey and lemon. ♥

Looks like many of us want to try the shower tablets, and I do too! I love Epsom salts in a bath. During cold and flu season I wash my hands as soon as I get home from anywhere.
Maria Manrique says
I would love to try the Lavender Epsom Salts. I always see them when I go to CVS and want to get them. They’re just a tad pricey. I think one of the reasons our health fails us is bc we are constantly go go go and a good long salt bath infused with lavender is the perfect reminder to slow down and give yourself some calming moments. The bonus is that it’s a really great detoxifier 🙂
One of the ways I stay healthy is making a big batch of ginger soaked in Manuka honey. I chop ginger up finely, place it in a jar filled with honey and a tiny bit of water. And it just sits in my counter. I’ll make tea with it or I’ll just munch on a little chunk in the mornings and before bed.
Have a wonderful day Taralynn. Thank you so much for posting this giveaway. I honestly love love love CVS.

I love everything in this post but I would really like to try the assortment of vitamins. I am not good at remembering to take vitamins on a daily basis but I think they are important, especially when you are active and on the go. I remember my kid’s vitamins but do not always remember to take care of myself.
I think the key to staying healthy, in any season, is to stay active. During the summer it is easy to get outside with all of the extra daylight. During the winter I still try to get outdoors as much as possible and I do more indoor activities like yoga. It keeps you flexible and provides mental health benefits.
Angela Cooper says
Okay, I’m going to be different and say the shower tablets, haha! As for staying healthy, flu shot is a must, then hydrate and sanitize away!

Hey girl ! Long time reader here, almost since you first started actually. I love reading your blog because our lives are SO different and it provides an interesting perspective for me! I am the same age as you, however I live in Alaska with my two kids and husband on a farm! I just graduated with my doctorate degree in nursing and am a family nurse practioner specializing in acute care medicine , aka I work in the ICU/ER. So different ! We grow a lot of our own food here and do a lot of subsistence hunting, we can’t just run to the store. I see it is so different where you live and the majority of the US for that matter. We don’t have the same lifestyle for sure but it’s fun to see how differences in geography alter a persons lifestyle and choices we make. I have always enjoyed reading your blog, and hearing about your struggles and triumphs it’s almost like I know you in a weird way ! You’re a great example of hard work, dedication and organization a lot of people in our age group or younger can look up to ! Anyway I’m not sure why I finally commented I seem to OWN lurking in the shadows pretty well haha, (plus we don’t even have a CVS where I live) but it seemed like as good as a time as any. Keep it up girl you are doing an amazing job with the life you have chosen.
Love from Alaska
Danielle says
Ps to my last comment and to keep this random comment valid to answer your questions : lol. To keep healthy in the long months of winter in Alaska, I brew kombucha to keep my families’ probiotic intake up, eat healthy, get outside in the snow to exercise (snow shoeing winter running downhill skiing) and since I work in medicine I of course wash and sanitize my hands ALL THE TIME. And since we don’t have a CVS where I live I’d love to try any product from them LOL !
Vera Khule says

Christelle says
I am very curious about the gummies vitamins! I always have a hard time to keep my vitamins balanced during the colder time. I can’t swallow big pills and these gummies sound like a good alternative yum yum 🙂
My #1 advice to stay healthy during the cold months….is simply to stay active! The cold weather should not be an excuse to stay at home and binged watch Netflix (even though once in a while it is a perfect activity, especially when all the Hallmark movies are out haha !). the nature is sooooooo beautiful during fall and winter, every year it takes my breath away. So I just add a layer and I’m going out to enjoy an outdoor activity!

Get a racket, grab some balls, and just go play!! Get a feel for it, and then take a couple lessons to have someone show you the basics! You’ll eventually pick it up! It’s unbelievably fun! It’s a great way to stay active with your boyfriend! Kyle and I like playing tennis instead of dining out on the weekends.
& THANKS! Nope the bag is Vera Bradley! 🙂

I would love to try the CVS Health Cranberry Jelly Beans!
As for a tip for staying healthy/fit in winter, I would say… meal prepping! Meal prepping as many delicious soups as possible for the freezer than can be thawed out and ready to go in just a few minutes (such as pumpkin or potato and leek soup! Yum!)

Would LOVE to try those shower tabs! Sounds like exactly what I need during the cold winter months! I like to stock up on Vitamin C and Zinc during the winter, as well as staying super hydrated. I feel overall like I get sick way less, and if I do, it’s way more mild!

Hi Taralyn!
1. I would love to try the biotin gummies, I’ve been experimenting with a couple brands and love that the CVS don’t have all that added junk.
2. I am a preschool teacher, so you can imagine all the germs running around, eek! I just go back to the basics and wash my hands a lot, wipe down tables, and take emergen-C tablets practically daily in the winter!
Love your blog keep up the good work. As a fellow Iowan I’m jealous of where you live now, a lot prettier than Iowa! 😉
