Good Morning, Everyone! I hope you’re all having a great week so far!
I just got back from yoga, and now I’m ready to sit down with my lemon ginger tea and blog all about my week. I woke up pretty stressed out with everything I have going on this week, so making yoga a priority was a must. It allowed me to have an hour to myself where I could focus on nothing but the moment. I made a list as soon as I got home, and now it’s time to knock everything out! I got this.
Let’s go back to last Monday!
After morning yoga, I finished up a few more blogs I had been working on, replied back to comments on the recap post, and enjoyed my breakfast while doing it all. I had a Vans gluten-free blueberry waffle with cashew butter on top and an oat milk (oatly) cappuccino.
I spent the rest of Monday taking the dogs on their walks, getting things ready for the hiking trip, and then headed out to my parent’s house later that evening. My dogs were going to stay the night with my parents while I was gone.
I had a giant (not pictured) salad for lunch while I was folding laundry. I don’t know why I thought that was a good idea. I guess I was trying to multitask. I went with a smoothie for dinner! It had frozen blackberries, frozen peaches, cashew milk, protein powder, ice, topped with pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds.
I shared my Tuesday hiking trip on the blog with a video! You can read all about it here!
I headed to pick up my dogs on Wednesday morning from my parent’s house. When I got home, I made a juice in hopes that it would kickstart my day and break me out of whatever delirious mood I was in. I was so out of it!
My juice had broccoli, celery, lemon, orange, kale, ginger, cucumber, and apple!
I was thinking about going to yoga, but I thought it would be a better idea to stay home, work, and then pull myself together in the morning instead.
I had a second (yup, I caved) cup of coffee later in the morning and delicious protein pancake breakfast. These pancakes only have four ingredients! They are dairy free, gluten free, and have no added sugars! They are so good! I think adding plant protein makes them fluffier and crispier on the outside. You can get the recipe here!
Late afternoon, I had a protein smoothie bowl. It had frozen peaches, frozen raspberries, vanilla plant protein, ice, cashew milk, and topped with pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.
After walking the dogs, I heated up the last of the leftover chili I made on Sunday! It’s the best meal to keep in your house to eat throughout the week. It only gets better with time! After dinner, I blogged a recipe and then dove deeper into my Southern Charm binge.
After mindful yoga on Thursday morning, I used the same 4-ingredient pancake recipe, and made a giant waffle! This waffle has 27 grams of protein and 21 grams of carbs! It’s sooooooooooooo goooooood!
I always get a craving for a protein smoothie bowl in the afternoon! I made one with cashew milk, frozen pineapple, frozen mangos, frozen raspberries, ice, vanilla protein powder, and then topped it with more frozen fruit, banana, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds.
For dinner, I had a slice of Daiya pizza, and leftover sweet potato slices! It was so ugly.
I spent all of Friday working on my hiking blog post and video! I did take multiple breaks to go on walks with the dogs, and snack on random bites! If I didn’t leave my computer to go on walks with the dogs, I’d be a zombie. I spend about 10-12 hours a day behind my computer screen. I know it’s not healthy, so escaping for those moments is crucial.
Kyle came over later around six, and we headed out for a long dog walk! We planned on playing tennis, but it was way too windy.
I made a Patty Melt Blue Apron for him, and I had more leftover Daiya pizza and a side salad. I was so checked out by Friday night. We sat on the couch to watch Dateline, but I missed most of it because I couldn’t stop laughing at the “I hope” comments on Tristan Thompson’s Instagram page. I was dying! I was reading some of them to Kyle, and I was in tears.
On Saturday morning, I woke up feeling so refreshed from a good nights sleep!
I had a cappuccino, a handful of trail mix, and worked a bit on the computer after taking the dogs out.
Around eleven, I met up with Meighan for a dog walk on the Sugar Creek Greenway. This is one of my favorite greenways! Before I got there, I picked up water for Leo, and her favorite coffee order. Kyle took Grumples out for a walk, and I took Leo with me.
It hit 80 degrees on Saturday, and it finally felt like spring! The weather can’t make up its mind right now.
After our walk, I stopped at Chopt to pick up lunch! If I’m ever in that area, I make sure to stop.
The salads from Chopt are always ginormous! I usually eat half and save the rest for later. The bowl I’m holding was from half of the salad! It had arugula, avocado, kale, grilled chicken, cucumber, quinoa, butternut squash, chickpeas, edamame, and hot honey vinaigrette. I need to figure out how they make the hot honey vinaigrette because it’s delicious!
A couple of hours later my parent’s stopped by to say hi. They ended up taking Grumples and Leo with them to play in the backyard while Kyle and I went on a double date with Becca and her boyfriend.
On our way to the movies, we stopped at Starbucks to pick up hot tea for the movie. We also picked up some snacks just in case we got hungry. The Emmy’s Organic cookies are so good! Perfect for when you have a sweet tooth.
We went to see A Quiet Place! It was so worth it! It was a well-done movie, gorgeous picture, incredible acting, and a unique storyline! We loved it! It’s scary, but not the kind of scary that’ll keep you up at night.
After the movies, we all headed to Los Aztecas for dinner.
I ordered the chicken fajitas! I usually just turn the fajitas into a big salad by topping it with lettuce, guacamole, tomatoes, and salsa.
Kyle and I picked the boys back up from my parent’s and then headed back to my place for the night. I don’t even remember what movie we started watching, but I was out by 10 pm!
I had a lot of work to finish on Sunday, so I woke up early to get my errands done before sitting down. I was craving something warm and filling for breakfast, so I went with oatmeal! I topped my oats with cashew butter, banana, raisins, and vanilla protein powder.
I headed to Earth Fare to get some groceries for the house so I could start making salads at home instead of living off Daiya frozen pizza and leftover chili. I had chicken marinating for two days in the fridge that Kyle was grilling while I was out.
For lunch, I had my leftover Chopt salad and Kombucha!
I even made a delicious new pumpkin & blueberry oat muffin that I’ll share with you all soon! (gluten free/vegan/sugar free/dairy free)
While I was working on a few projects around 2 pm, we got a horrible storm! Even the tornado sirens were going off! Our power was out for several hours, and it was sort of a blessing in disguise. Kyle and I were sitting on the couch since I couldn’t connect to the internet, browse anything, or watch T.V. I drifted off to sleep, and he let me lay there for an hour. He didn’t move. Otherwise, he would have woken me up. I hardly ever nap so maybe removing all technology isn’t so bad after all.
We finally got the power back later in the evening! I had some leftover salad for dinner, and a protein shake later on in the evening while working and watching American Idol.
I had a half of a waffle with my coffee before going out on my morning dog walk. I’m usually up for yoga and ready to do my recap posts on Monday, but I had a few other blog posts that were due that I had to finish before the afternoon. Luckily I got them all done and submitted in time.
Morning snack: mini blueberry pumpkin oat muffin with honey roasted peanut butter on top!
For lunch, I had a delicious salad! It had spring blend lettuce, grilled chicken, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, avocado, and herb goddess dressing on top!
I drove my mom up to Charlotte for her doctor’s appointment (she doesn’t like to drive in Charlotte 😂 #fromIOWA), so I always go that way with her. We had a few extra minutes before the appointment, so we stopped at Not Just Coffee. I love their new Dilworth location!
We ordered two oat milk cappuccinos! I tried oat milk for the first time at Not Just Coffee, so I love that they have it! It’s delicious.
After the appointment, we headed to a gorgeous park so I could shoot some photos for a couple Mother’s Day posts I have coming up! I can’t wait for you all to see the photos! She is the cutest.
After getting the photos done, we headed back to my place and took the boys on a long walk together! We decided to have a girl’s night, so she stayed over, and I made us dinner.
I made salads with sweet potatoes, cabbage, tomatoes, grilled chicken, avocado, spring mix lettuce, and green goddess dressing. I made a Mexican rice casserole from Blue Apron for Kyle on Sunday night that she also had and LOVED. And what’s a healthy dinner without Kombucha?
After dinner, we made hot tea and watched American Idol!
I had such a busy, fun, and fulfilling week! I can’t wait to share all of the things I’ve been working on! 🙂
Questions for you!
- What’s the last movie you went to see?
- What do you do when the power goes out?
- What is the name of your favorite coffee shop?

Aww, you and your Mum are the cutest! Y’all are so close 🙂 I should spend more time with my family! ❤️
There are so many beautiful coffee shops in Hong Kong, they’re popping up all over the city. I blog about them, so if you ever need some architecture eye candy to check out, you know where to go! 😉

It looks like you had a wonderful week! It seems like you have been extra busy, but don’t stress! Everything will get taken care of!
I think the last movie I went to see was Sully…in 2016. Oh my gosh. I didn’t even realize I never go to the movies!
When the power goes out my family and I all gather in the same room and just spend time talking. Now if I am home alone and the power goes out…I basically have a panic attack and think “this is how I am going to die.” hahaha
And lastly, my favorite coffee shop in town is Spencer’s Coffeehouse. I live in a smallish-city in KY (& I will totally give you those recs if you decide to drive through KY!!) so there is only 3 Starbucks and Spencer’s. I wish we had more unique coffee places like you post all the time! But Spencer’s is pretty incredible. It”s downtown close to the college campus and has that exposed brick, dark wood vibe…I love it! They make killer lattes.
Good luck with everything you have going on! I can’t wait to see all your new posts! xo
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Anastasia!
You’re right! Luckily I’m half way done with it all! 😀
I went to see Sully! LOVED it!
lol I always prepare if I’m home alone just in case! I light all the candles!
I may drive through Kentucky several times this summer! I may have to check it out!! Sounds amazing!!!
Linda @ the Fitty says
What yoga poses are you currently working on? On a scale of 1 to 10, how intense are the yoga classes?
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Linda!
I’m not necessarily working on any particular yoga poses. I just go to get a good stretch, find balance, and relax. My Monday class is very challenging vinyasa, but the rest of the week it’s simple and relaxing mindful or alignment yoga.

Now I’m craving a smoothie bowl! The last movie I went to see was Den of Thieves with Gerard Butler- I didn’t know how I’d feel about it but it was surprisingly good. We had awful snow storms in Wisconsin this weekend, we literally didn’t leave the house from Friday night to Monday morning because it was so awful-we got 24 inches of snow! Luckily the power didn’t go out, but when it does go out we usually bust out the candles and board games or books. It was actually nice to be able to just veg and not feel guilty, since there was really nothing else we could do since most everything closed for the weekend haha. My favorite coffee shop is called Jitter Bean! I love their unique drinks and simple lunch menu.
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Meghan!
Anything with Gerard Butler is OK by me!
OMG, I saw photos from the snow you guys got! boooooo!
Jitter Bean!? What a cute name!!
Katie says
Girl, your weekends always look so productive and fun! Every time I read your posts I get so inspired to do more, eat better, and just peruse a healthier lifestyle! Keep it up! <3 I actually kind of want to see that movie, even though I'm a huge baby when it comes to stuff like that, but maybe I will actually see it now!ha :p
XOXO, Katie | http://www.meshkomoments.com
Taralynn McNitt says
Thanks so much, Katie!
Your comment just put a big smile on my face!!
I promise I’m a baby with that stuff too, but that movie isn’t as scary as the other horror films! It won’t keep you up at night! 😀 I recommend it!
Have a great week!
Kelly says
The last movie I went to see was The Greatest Showman. LOVEDDD it. When the power goes out, I freak out if my husband isn’t home lol. I’m not a big coffee person, but I’m ADDICTED to Starbucks Black Tea Lemonade (1/2 the sweetener). I’ve also had their Hazelnut Mocha Coconutmilk Macchiato. In other words, sugary coffee!
Taralynn McNitt says
I still need to see that!!!
OMG I’d freak out too! If there is even a chance of the power going out, I light like ten candles lol
Lol I used to like sugary coffee, but now I can’t! I somehow worked my way to the black stuff!
Brittney Caughron says
We had tornadoes in Arkansas last weekend. Scary stuff! Thank the Lord we didn’t lose power though!
Mylos Coffee Company is my favorite around the Little Rock area. It’s very rustic. The espresso and pastries are amazing.
Taralynn McNitt says
Yikes that is scary!!!
I love rustic coffee shops!
Sarah Sonenberg says
i LOVE your shirt in the coffee shop picture–I want it! And so jealous of you’re sunny hiking photos…its literally snowing in Buffalo at this moment so I’m living vicariously through them. I just want it to be spring! I think the last movie I saw in theaters was that new star wars one, I don’t go to theaters that often. When the power goes out I happily go to sleep and my favorite coffee shop is called public espresso in downtown buffalo–delicious coffee and food and very spacious!
Taralynn McNitt says
Lol thanks, Sarah!! I don’t even remember where I got it! iT’s like three years old!
I hope you get some warm spring weather soon!
All of this snow and coffee talk is making me want a cup!
Jen says
“You got it from your Momma!” 😉 You two are each others dopplegangers. Sounds like you had a fun time on all your adventures!
Taralynn McNitt says
Hahahaha thanks, Jen!!!
Kara says
Why do you make Blue Apron meals for Kyle, but eat frozen pizza yourself? They are a lot of work to make for just one person! My husband and I always tag team them to make it easier and have fun making/eating them together 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Kara!
That is the first time I’ve ever done that for just Kyle. I blog about Blue Apron all the time and make them for myself all the time. He wanted the Patty Melts that we got in the box, and I don’t like Patty Melts. That dish only took about fifteen minutes to cook so it wasn’t a big deal.
Elisabeth says
Hi Taralynn!
I really love the way you styled your hair (I wish mine were already this long, but I have to wait some months…)
What’s the last movie you went to see?
Black Panther! I really liked the story, the music, and, as usual, the bad guy ^^ (I always fall for the bad guy in movies – every damn time)
What do you do when the power goes out?
I light some candles, grab a book and I wait
What is the name of your favorite coffee shop?
I’m not really into coffee shops, but I had the best hot chocolate of my life in Hotel Chocolat in Glasgow (seriously – it was heaven in my mouth)
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Elisabeth!
Thanks so much, I really need to get a cut!
Hahaha that’s funny! I need to see Black Panther! Keep hearing great things.
MMMM you can never go wrong with hot chocolate!

Kelsey Weissner says
Hi Taralynn,
I really want to see A Quiet Place! I haven’t been to the movies in a long time, but I think the last one I saw in theaters was Get Out. I like watching scary movies in theaters so I don’t feel alone haha. When the power goes out, I just light a bunch of candles (if it’s at night) and catch up on some reading! The name of my favorite coffee shop is Ceremony Coffee Roasters in downtown Baltimore. They make delicious lattes and a variety of breakfast foods and sandwiches. I always get the smoked salmon toast with a greek yogurt spread. It’s also in a really fun part of the city called Mt Vernon that has a ton of museums and interesting shops, so when I plan to go to Ceremony I make a whole day out of it! I wanted to get your two cents on something–I love your clean eats and how you’ve been posting recipes that don’t require sugar. I’m having a terrible time restricting my sugar intake (sugar being addictive is no joke!) so I wanted to see if you have any advice on trying to get away from it?
I hope you have a great rest of the week! And hopefully the weather starts to warm up again 🙂 xo Kelsey
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Kelsey!
OMG Get Out was SO SO SO FUNNY!!!! Kyle and I actually went to go see that one together. Oh, I never watch scary movies alone! I won’t even watch Dateline without Kyle lol That’s why it’s our weekend thing.
MMMMM that sounds like an amazing coffee shop! I love anything with smoked salmon!
Yes, sugar addiction is REAL! I think just substitute all your cravings with real sugar from fruits! That helps me!
The weather is warm today! 83!
Kelli says
What’s the last movie you went to see?
I went to see A Quiet Place on Saturday and LOVED IT! I am a big horror movie person and I wouldn’t consider this a “horror movie”, it’s a bit more mild so even the people who don’t like scary movies can enjoy it 🙂
What do you do when the power goes out?
I love to light all the candles and get a fire going in the fire place. Honestly, just putting pillows and blankets down in the floor in front of the fireplace and totally relaxing. No phone, no TV, it’s great!
What is the name of your favorite coffee shop?
Aroma’s in Traverse City, best latte’s, mocha’s & Mexican coffee’s EVER!
Taralynn McNitt says
I agree! It didn’t come off as “horror film” but was still scary…mildly.
Awwww that sounds so cozy!
YUM!!!!
Krista says
We actually went to see the same movie on Saturday! My fiance has wanted to see it since the trailer came out, and while I don’t enormously like scary movies, I weirdly like prepper-types of shows and ideas, so it was pretty awesome!!
When the power goes out here at my house, I’m actually usually either asleep or not home, so it’s been really convenient! Multiple transformers blew at the end of last summer near my house, though, but I was actually sleeping and woke up the pretty terrifying noise– it sounded like gunfire! Fortunately, all power was restored by the time I woke up 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
I’m with you on the movie selection, but also enjoyed it! 🙂
OMG that is so scary! I would have freaked out if I was home alone and that happened!
Patricia says
I saw A Quiet Place last week too! I thought it was so well done…before the movie they played a trailer for “Truth or Dare”..have you seen the previews? SO CREEPY.
Haha is it sad that my favourite coffee is from McDonalds?
Taralynn McNitt says
Lol nope! I never watch those types of movies! Those are toooooo creepy and gross for my liking lol. The crunching of that girls hand breaking? EEEEWWWW
YES. SAD. hahahahaha! (but they do have good coffee on road trips) lol

FYI – That hot honey dressing is made with this hot honey https://mikeshothoney.com/
I’m sure you could figure out a way to make your spicy honey as well. Though from what I read about Mike’s Hot Honey, it sounds like its worth buying so it can be used in other ways too, like on pizza!
Taralynn McNitt says
I did see that! lol I already did all the stalking for this dressing lol I might have to purchase it and see if I can make the dressing! It’s soooooo gooood!
Malyssa says
Hi Taralynn! Loved this post. I need to go see A Quiet Place now! I went to see Black Panther recently and loved it. I don’t usually like comic book movies but this one was great. The last time the power went out here, it was for 36 hours so I went to my best friend’s house. We watched 13 Reasons Why (all the episodes) in a day and it was awesome. My husband and I love Insomnia, a coffee shop walking distance from where we live. I hope we never have to move! xo
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Malyssa!
I’ve heard great things about Black Panther, I don’t like comic movies or anything superhero, but I might have to cave and watch it!
OMG, 36 hours?!?! ykes!!!!!
Kyle and I watched that show in like three days. I just wanted to know what happened next!
I read that as “my husband and I have insomnia” lol Glad I reread that!!
But what an awesome name for a coffee shop!
Hannah Schwartz says
Wow! You sure had a packed week. I love hearing all about it and how you juggle it, but with a balance. I would love to see a catch up post on your journey with food, intuitively eating, and body image. You are someone I look up to because you are so open about things, show us the down sides, but also the achievements!!
1. Last movie I saw in theaters was… I think Dunkirk? It has been awhile! I have been dying to see the Greatest Showman but am waiting until it comes out onDemand because it is so much cheaper.
2. When the power goes out we usually play board game, I will read, or power up a small TV and watch a movie. I love the coziest no electricity brings! As long as our wood stove is burning wood to keep us all warm.
3. I don’t drink coffee, but I meet my mentor at a coffee shop called Ristrettos near us. It is really nice and I love to sit next to their fireplace in the winter time!
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Hannah!
Thanks for the suggestions! 🙂
We saw Dunkirk at the IMAX and I was dizzy the whole time! The Greatest Showman looks good! It’s on my playlist!
Sounds so cozy! 🙂
I love when a coffee shop has a fireplace!
Abbey says
Hi Taralynn! I made your turkey chili a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! I was wondering if you think it would cook the same if I just threw everything together in a crockpot and let it cook all day while I’m at work? Just wondering if this is something you’ve tried before 🙂 have a wonderful rest of your week!
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Abbey!
I’ve never tried this, but I’ve made something similar! My dad always makes his chili in the crockpot hours ahead of time, so I bet it would work just fine! I’ll have to try it out.
xo

Hi, Taralynn! Long time reader, first time responder!
1) Last movie we went to see was Rampage, but I would have liked to have seen A Quite Place. (Not my turn to pick the movie, but we must be fair in life, haha)
2)When the electric goes out I like to A) If it’s raining: snuggle up and read a book, or B): If it’s snowing: tromp around outside and take pictures of the snow.
3) Fave coffee shop is a local place in my town called 10/40 Coffee! Super cute little place right on the square!
I love that your mom and you have girls nights!
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Katie B!
Thanks for commenting!:)
Haha, well hopefully you get to see it soon! It was a really good movie!
I agree! Photos of the snow is a must:)
Sounds like an adorable coffee shop!
Me too, she’s the best! xo xo

Protein waffle – GENIUS! Ben and I transformed our normal waffle mix into protein waffles, but I really love the simplicity of your recipe.
I haven’t been even mildly interested in seeing a movie in ages (is it just me or are movies terrible these days?!) but I DO want to see A Quiet Place. It looks so good and I’ve heard great things about it.
Last movie I saw… Not even kidding I’m pretty sure it was when I dragged Ben to Twilight in like, 2011 (and he slept through the whole thing hahaha).
When the power goes out.. I totally get freaked out! I’ve watched far too many scary movies. Thank goodness we don’t lose power often here!
We love The Cup here in Boulder, but there are SO many cute shops around our town it’s hard to choose. You literally can’t walk a block without running into one!
Also, you and your momma look just alike! I love it!
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Susie!
I think you’d enjoy that waffle recipe for sure! It’s so good 🙂
NOPE. Not just you! I was talking with Kyle about this yesterday! The movies have not been that great! We need more Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, Drew Barrymore, and Gerard Butler in our lives hahaha But, A Quiet Place was so good!I think you’d like it!
I can’t believe Twilight was the last film you watched! haha! That’s like forever ago.
Yes, I need to make it there!!!!!
Lol thank you, she’s a cutie! love her! xo

1.What’s the last movie you went to see?
Gosh it’s been so long I want to say “The 33”, It was about the Miners who got trapped. If you have not seen this, its a most.
2.What do you do when the power goes out?
FREAK OUT!!! I HATE storms.
3.What is the name of your favorite coffee shop?
I don’t drink much coffee at all. The only coffee I like is cold coffee’s so I would have to say Starbucks.
Taralynn McNitt says
Omg, that sounds like a movie that would give me the worst anxiety!
Me too when I’m alone!
Starbucks does have good cold brew.

so long since i’ve been to the movies, I can’t remember?! lol! Power doesn;t go out too often, when it does we freak, lol! No we play cards mostly. My fav coffee shop is ‘Two If By Sea’, I live in Dartmouth Nova Scotia. You would love this coffee shop they have the best croissants EVER – they are huge and they have many flavors, my fav is the prosciutto & cheese, 2nd runner up is chocolate. Love your blog and cannot believe how much you look like your Mom.

Omg…that sounds like a dream coffee shop!!!
lol we do look alike hahaha!

OH my gosh, I almost spit my coffee out reading your Tristan Thompson “I hope” comments line because I DID THE SAME THING WHEN I READ THEM! Hysterical!
1.What’s the last movie you went to see? “Rough Night” (that bachelorette party movie that came out over the summer – I went with my sister/maid of honor and friend/bridesmaid because I thought it would be fun since I was getting married, but it was TERRIBLE and we pretty much rolled our eyes through the whole thing!)
2.What do you do when the power goes out? We actually just lost power for 9 days last month (I live in Pennsylvania) during a bad snow storm – lots of games played and books read (I may have snuck in a nap or two also :))
3.What is the name of your favorite coffee shop? When I’m home, my local coffee shop is called The Frisky Goat and it’s so adorable (goat-themed, what’s not to love?)! At work, I walk to a coffee shop across the street called 2 Alices Coffee Lounge which is a cozy yet industrial-looking coffee shop and just as adorable.
Taralynn McNitt says
HAHAHAHAHA THEY WERE SO FUNNY!!!! AND THE POOR SPORT TOOK IT DOWN HAHAHAHAHA
1. Hahahaha I rarely go see comedies because they aren’t good anymore! What happened to good comedy movies?!?!?! lol
2. 9 DAYS?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I’ll never complain again. I would have went to camp out at my parent’s haha
3. The Frisky Goat? that is an amazing name!! lol

OMG! I was rolling (do people still say that?) reading the “I hope” comments. “I hope every time you cut an avocado, it’s black” HaHaHa!
I had to laugh at your #fromIOWA about your mom not liking to drive in Charleston. I’m a native San Franciscan and I hate to drive downtown with all those aggressive drivers, one way streets, hills…yikes! Also, your mom is adorable. 🙂
The last movie I went to see was Peter Rabbit (mama of a toddler here). I miss going to the movies, we went often before baby, but now it’s such a hassle to find a sitter and be away from my little one and especially if the movie sucks…grrr! RedBox is my best friend these days. A lot cheaper too.
When the power goes out I like to light candles and just relax.
One of my fave coffee shops is Chit Chat Cafe because of it’s ocean view. #Californiagirl
Taralynn McNitt says
Hi, Susie!
lol yes!!! Those were so funny! I was sad when he took it down lol
The funny thing is that Charlotte is SO EASY to drive in! It doesn’t really have the big city feel lol But my dad is the same way!

The last movie I went to see was The Strangers 2. I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t nearly as good as the first one. I love horror! I went to see A Quiet Place with my boyfriend last week. Even though we went three hours early for tickets they were sold out. Next time I’ll purchase online 🙂
