Can you believe Christmas is in two weeks? I have done zero holiday shopping, but nothing new here. I have always been a last-minute person. I’m sure some of you can relate.
Today, I’m partnering up with RetailMeNot to bring you the ultimate sale & discount guide to make your holiday less stressful and a lot cheaper. I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve heard of RetailMeNot before, but never really dug into it deeper, which is a shame. When I started scrolling through all of the sales and discounts, I got a little mad at myself. I’ve been shopping at all of my favorite stores without using the discount codes and cash back offers that are available on RetailMeNot for free! If I had started using RetailMeNot a long time ago, my wallet would be a lot fatter. But, lesson learned. I’ll be pre-planning ALL of my future shopping trips and taking advantage of all of the deals and coupons with RetailMeNot. Starting with this holiday season.
I’d like to show you what I’ve learned by using RetailMeNot & show you some deals I’ll be using this holiday season. Plus, RetailMeNot is giving $350 to one lucky winner 🙂 Keep reading to learn how you can enter!
If you’ve never heard of RetailMeNot, be prepared for an overwhelming of happiness when you see all of the sales at your favorite stores, but also prepare for the disappointment in yourself for not using it earlier! 😉 RetailMeNot is the ultimate destination for saving money when you shop online or when you’re out and about at your favorite stores. RetailMeNot offers thousands of coupons, deals, cash back offers, and discount e-gift cards. They even have discounts at your favorite restaurants, and coffee shops (you’ll save a latte😉)
One of the first things I’d like to discuss...The Cash Back offer. It’s kind of a big deal…
When I go to Target, J.Crew, or my other favorite stores, I always end up spending more than I planned to. You know what I mean. You walk into Target for toilet paper, and you come out with a cart full of pillows, towels, books, trail mix, and end up forgetting the toilet paper. Well, most of my favorite stores have a cashback offer. If you combine codes with cashback offers, you’ll save even more money. You can claim up to $30 in one click! When you are shopping this holiday season, pay attention to the stores that offer cashback. If you’re going to spend that money anyway, why not use a code that allows you to put it right back into your pocket?
Head over to the CASH BACK page to see which stores offer it. You could also type in your favorite store in the search box and find out that way as well.
The RetailMeNot app is fun when you’re out and about. I was doing a little shopping with my best friend on Monday, and the app notifications popped up telling me all about the deals going on in the mall that I was at. I redeemed it directly from my phone at the Barnes & Noble Checkout. The location feature is excellent when you’re shopping at stores. Another great feature is that they have comments from users on the discounts so you can make sure that they work, or what to do if you run into trouble using one.
RetailMeNot will let you know which stores are having sales, savings that are not being advertised in the stores, and ways to put money back in your pocket after dishing it out.
Spending money during the holidays can be stressful. You have to buy for friends, mom, dad, grandma, nieces, nephews, grandpa, uncle Bill, aunt Susie, cousin Hank, siblings, significant others, their family, your sibling’s significant others, your dogs, your coworkers, and that doesn’t even include the money you spend on party food, decorations, or travel. The holidays can make or break you if you don’t plan or pay attention to the savings around you. Don’t fall into the stressful trap of spending way too much money when you do not have to.
Make a list. Make it simple. Don’t go overboard. Create a budget. Use RetailMeNot.

As I mentioned before, holiday decor and party hosting can be expensive. Look out for savings before you begin planning. Two of my most favorite stores had great deals on Holiday items. Michael’s & Hobby Lobby. I picked up some bulbs for the tree, candles, chargers for Christmas Eve dinner, and a new wreath for the door. I had a total of $120 savings! That is money I can put towards other gifts. How about that for a #DealBrag 😉
I love that I don’t have to go directly to store’s websites or cut out coupons in the newspaper. All of the deals are in one place. I can organize and search quickly for them. I can use my computer or my phone. So convenient.
My boyfriend is very easy to shop for (kinda.) He loves his J.Crew, new shoes, and anything leather. I asked him if he could recommend a gift for guys, and he said J.Crew Killshots. Apparently, they are the coolest shoe on the block according to his Reddit pages. Since the shoes are more than $80, you’ll get cash back & be able to combine that with all of the other discount codes they have to offer. While browsing this morning, I saw that they had 30% off full-priced items + $10 cash back. You can check out all the J.CREW deals & steals on the RetailMeNot website.
Oh! Oh! Oh! (backward is Ho! Ho! Ho!) Before I forget… If you see a deal that catches your eye, just click on the star to save it to your “saved offers” page. That way you don’t lose it or forget about it. You’ll also get a notification if your saved coupon is expiring. How about that for a little shopping motivation?
Don’t forget about the ladies! If you’re anything like me, you could live in your pajamas, cozy slippers, sweaters, and yoga pants forever. Guys, take note. Some of the best places for loungewear items have great coupons and cashback offers. Macy’s had 25% off your entire order PLUS up to $20 cash back on online orders! I love seeing how many people used the coupon; according to RetailMeNot, 4,400 people applied the cashback offer to their order today, and 8000 people used the 25% off.
Let’s make it easy. Pajamas for all the ladies in your life, with a mug, chocolates, cozy socks, and a good blend of coffee. You’ll save money and lose the stress of thinking about what to get each person. You could purchase all of those things at one destination and save big time. Oh, and have them gift wrap it while you’re at it.
My favorite to buy for, My dogs. It’s fun because they know what gifts are, and they actually rip apart the wrapping paper when we tell them to. I love buying them toys at local boutiques, getting them stocking stuffers at Petco, Petsmart, and Pet Supplies Plus. All of those stores offer cashback deals, major discounts, and free shipping. People also like when you include their dogs in gift giving. Throw a couple of dog treats in your friend’s and family’s gift bags (Just make sure they have a dog. Otherwise that would be weird.) Oh, and don’t forget about the cats. Cat’s like gifts too!
My boyfriend and I decided to buy toys and dog food for the local shelter this year as well, so it’ll be great to save money on toys and treats for them. It’s always fun to see dogs rip apart new stuffed animals.
I’m going to share some of the deals that I have saved, and what I plan on looking out for when Christmas shopping this season. I should probably get to it this week! I’d love to see which of your favorite stores are on RetailMeNot and what deals they are offering. 🙂
