I’m not sure why I’m just now learning about Grokker. If you haven’t heard of it yet, I’m about to change your entire health goal plan. This site is a game changer. I used to search all over Youtube for workouts and Pinterest for healthy recipes, but Grokker is filled with over 1500 videos of workouts and healthy recipes. I got caught up for two hours just watching all the tutorials and learning about new stretches for post-runs.
You all know I don’t really care for the gym. I hate driving somewhere to workout and driving back home. I like convenience. I also like to switch my workouts up. I get so bored doing the same one over and over again. Running is the only workout I don’t get bored with becuase I can do it everywhere and change up the scenery. Grokker offers workouts for all levels of fitness. Some are five minutes that you can do right when you wake up and some are twenty minutes you can do on your lunch break. They even have mediation videos you can do at your desk when you need a stress reliever.
I think some of you will be able to relate with what I’m about to tell you. I sometimes hate going to workout classes becuase I’m one of the most uncoordinated people you’ll ever meet. When people go left, I’m going right. I like to do things my own way sometimes and with Grokker, I can do it at home and no one can laugh at me.
There are SO MANY workouts you can choose from. I decided to do a seven minute cardio workout in the backyard today before going on my run. This was a great warm-up before the run! I was so out of breath by the end of it and it only took seven minutes of my life. You can also follow your favorite instructors and get notified every time a new video in that category is posted. Each video is filmed in HD and looks super crisp and clear! This is a great site if you’re trying to get into yoga without actually going to a yoga class.
After my run, I decided to look up a post-run stretch and there were so many to choose from. Stretching is something I do not do enough and these videos were motivation. The instructors explain why it’s important as we’ll. You can basically find any type of workout you want!
You know what else is cool? The forums! You can go and discuss basically anything you want with a community on Grokker. I saw some forums on Quest Bars, being gluten free, and fitness struggles. Your profile keeps track of all the workouts you’ve done and all the recipes you’ve tried. The experts are also available for Q&A, so when you have a questions, they’ll answer it! Do you know how much I’ve paid for a personal trainer to do that in the past…crazy!
I think Grokker is great for promoting a healthy lifestyle and helping people who struggle with their heath goals. I wish I would have known about this back in the day, but I’m excited to take advantage of it now.
You can also take Grokker on the go! If you’re in the gym and don’t know what to do, just get some inspiration from one of the videos.
The food is probably one of my favorite parts. I LOVE healthy food. I also like that these are all videos teaching us how to make them. They are so educational and really explain the healthy benefits of the ingredients their using. You can find basically ANY cuisine you’re looking for from all over the world!
The recipes also have reviews. If you like one of the instructors recipes, you can follow or browse their other recipes. They have a feature that allows you to print the recipe or save it to your desktop. It’s located on each cooking video page.
I’d love for you guys to try out Grokker FREE for a month. I promise you’ll LOVE it and it will definitely give you that push of motivation. What do you have to lose?

This sounds awesome. I just signed up for weight watchers after a lot of success with it a few years back. So I’m in the market for healthy meals. I had never heard of this site. Thanks!
Quick question. Is “because” set to autocorrect to a different spelling on your computer? It seems to always be spelled wrong.

Dear Taralynn,
thank you so much for your recommendation! I just started with grokker today and I am veery happy with it so far! There are also really nice meditation videos which help to get rid of all the negativity, thoughts of anxiety, and such.
I was wondering how you started your weightloss. Ive been struggling with my weightloss all my life. A couple of times I managed to lose some weight but sooner or later I gained it all back. I was never really thin. I was either overweight or pretty obese. I somehow don’t know hot to start and really stick to it since food is somehow my cure for the loneliness around me I guess. I am curious how you managed to really start a healthy lifestyle and stick to ur weightloss? You look amazing and your story totally inspires me! Thank you for sharing your story! Im looking forward to your reply!
xo Sheila

Grokker is great! & I’m so happy you’re enjoying it. The meditation vids are GREAT for anxiety and I love using them for a little morning yoga after I have my coffee.
My weightless started with just a diet change and a daily workout. My workout was basically just me walking! The walking turned into running. You have to do something that fits and is a lifestyle or it’ll never work. Diets don’t work forever but lifestyles do.
