As you all know, we rescued Santino, the pit/boxer mix, in late March. He has been such a blessing. He’s so cuddly, happy, and has one of the coolest personalities. Him and Grumples get along so well. They love playing in the backyard together and cuddling up on the floor.
Grumples has received several BarkBoxes over the years, but Tino got his first box over the weekend! Tino deserved a fun treat after his manhood fix last week.
Tino is at the stage in his life where toys are everything! If there aren’t any toys lying around, he’ll turn a water bottle, a shoe, or a stick into a toy. Grumples is at the stage of life where toys are fun, bubbles are better, but treats are the best.
My favorite part about receiving the BarkBox is the dog’s anticipation as I excited them! They get really excited when I open up the box.
Tino loves to rip toys apart, and Grumples is no different. They’ll tear it up until they get the squeaker out or the stuffing. The BarkBox is ideal for me because they go through toys like crazy.
The BarkBox comes with 4-6 products and some of them are toys. Toys are pretty expensive at the pet stores, and it’s so much cheaper to receive a BarkBox to replace the torn up toys.
The treats that come in the BarkBox are Grumples favorite. A lot of dogs have allergies and BarkBox works with your pup’s special needs.
Not only is BarkBox a subscription box for your pups, they also have an online store where you can find healthy products that your pups like. Don’t forget to check out the BarkShop and get a free bully stick with purchases over $10.00! All you have to do is use the coupon code: SIMPLYTARALYNN. The store is great for buying gifts for your friend’s dogs as well. Grumple’s birthday is in July and he’ll be getting some special treats from the BarkShop.
The BarkBox is such a great deal. When I go to the pet store, I end up spending $30-$40 on treats and toys. The BarkBox has different plans for the size or your dog and they start as low as $18.00
BarkBox has offered a special code for my readers who are interested in the box! If you use code: SIMPLYTARALYNN, you’ll get a free month added to your plan!
Responsible pet owners always pay attention to where their treats are coming from. I appreciate that pretty much all the products from BarkBox are based out of the U.S.
Opening the BarkBox is like Christmas for the pups! They don’t know where to start!
He had his eye on the purple rope toy from the moment the box opened.
I believe in spoiling pets. I agree that they need discipline, but they also deserve rewards. Dogs are always there for us, they fill our lives with happiness, and teach us responsibility. The BarkBox is a great way to show them how much you love them and it gives them the attention they deserve.
Grumples and Tino spent hours playing with their toys.
They loved the treats! But, what dog wouldn’t?!
BarkBox strives for products that contain no glycerin, wheat, gluten, soy, corn, fillers whenever possible. They also look for organic options.
They played tug of war with this little purple flour for about twenty minutes straight until it went flying to the pool.
I love that they have the Bark Shop because I can go online and buy toys like this, knowing the dogs will play with them. Sometimes I buy toys that the dogs want no part of.
*Priority*
Grumples: Treats
Santino: Toys
Grumples likes the longer toys that you can play tug of war with! He’ll never let you win!
If you enjoy making your pups happy, I highly recommend trying out the BarkBox.
Grumples and Tino are already excited about receiving another box!

This is such a cool concept! I recently rescued a new furbaby and he is in that stage where everything is a toy. I think I might order this and (hopefully!!) save a few flip flops from destruction.
Thanks for the honest review and the recommendation!

Ugh the flip flip choppers! GRUMPS used to do that! You should definitely try the box out, the pups love it !

My dog would love a barkbox! Does Tino live with you or Nick? Or do you and Nick live together? What about Grumples, is he at your house or your parents? I wish my parents lived close enough to help me with my dog sometimes lol!

I’m so glad you posted about Bark Box. I’ve been contemplating them for our pup for a while, but I wasn’t sure how the toys and treats for larger dogs would be. Thanks for reviewing it!

Does Santino live with you and Grumples or with Nick?
Can we get a whole house tour soon? Your backyard looks amazing!

Great post! I’ve been on the fence about ordering from BarkBox for months, and you convinced me to subscribe! Thank you so much for the honest review and promo code. 🙂

I’d be willing to bet a lot of money Santino is part Basenji and not boxer! Basenjis are unique dogs found a lot in the South. Google them! Just a thought 🙂
Taralynn McNitt says
Maybe!! He does have the forehead and paws! kind of cool 🙂 I typed in Basenjis/Pit and some of them looked like Tino. We know his mom is full pit, but the shelter said he has boxer and lab in him. Wish we knew for sure!

I have been debating about getting one of those for a while. My dogs would love it.
