As much as I wanted to stay cuddled up to my pup, I knew I needed to get up and go for a run. I planned 4 miles and at a pretty quick pace (for me anyways).
Around 8am, I had breakfast. I had two whole grain Van’s waffles with butter, syrups, and pecans. I have to eat early in the morning, otherwise I find myself hungry all day.
Around eleven, I had a breakfast/lunch to fuel me before my run. Choosing your pre-run food can be difficult. You never really know how your body will react to the foods you eat while exercising. I’ve learned what has helped me lately!
Whole grain toast with peanut butter and honey, almonds, and fresh fruit!
I usually have to wait 45-60 minutes before running after eating.
Around four, I was starvin’ and so I made a salad from dinner’s leftovers, and a mixed fruit salad!
Today, I am running with my boyfriend Nick! I’m not a huge running partner person anymore. I find that I run better by myself because I don’t have to worry about slowing down or speeding up, stopping or talking. But I still think it’s good to stay active together!
Tonight is the Notre Dame basketball game and we are going to cook at home! What do you think we should make?

I love waffle makers! You know what I did this week? I just made an omlette with leftover meats on the waffle grill. iT made the omlette that much more entertaining, haha.

I am completely the same when it comes to running! Solo running just always seems easier, but I admire those people who can have full conversations while running… it truly amazes me!

kind of late on this– but you should make some spaghetti squash and meatballs! so delicious!

Hi! Taralynn. I have been followed your blog for 2 years and it is the very first time to leave comments. I am not a native, so it might be funny to read it sometimes, please understand! You’re my running inspiration, I was fat and I have lost 28kg for 4 years. Before I saw you through tumblr, I hated running. Now I have been running for almost 2 months, and I could run 5.5miles without break-time! Thank you so much and I really really like your attitude! Such a positive and gorgeous woman!
