We ditched the car today. There’s no need to drive around when you have all the time in the world to walk. Cars are for convenience and to rush the moments. I like to walk to where I’m going when I have the time. Plus, it’s so pretty this time of year and I want to enjoy it from outside the car. The air is crisp and breathing it in is a stress reliever.
The bright red trees are my favorite.
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had the habit of finding every little thing and picking it up on my walks or on the playground. Sometimes I find little things and read them as signs.
I also found a random UNO card with a 7 on it. But this random book page was on the side of the highway. I’m not sure what it means yet. (insert she is weird face here)
We found a walking trail to follow and it was absolutely gorgeous. It was secluded and filled with squirrels.
I don’t like to run paths like this when I’m by myself though. If I do, I usually have pepper spray.
Towards the end of the route, we were getting hungry.
We found an Old Hickory Bar-B-Q at the end of our route and decided to eat there.
My meal came with a side salad…
I ordered the chicken breast. It came with baked beans and a roll. I’m not sure what sauce was on it, but I just couldn’t. I had a couple bites of chicken, the roll and the beans and had to call it quits.
After dining out, we headed back and tossed around the football. We ended up going out to dinner and doing happy hour tonight. I’ll blog that later 😉

The page of that book is 77. That and the uno card could def be a sign. Research 7 a little. It may fit in with where you are in your life and things that you are beginning to explore. 7s follow me all the time (as do 3s) 🙂

I didn’t even notice that. I will now be reading about sevens all night!

Take advantage of the beautiful fall weather and travel by foot. 🙂 I wish fall would stay longer! It’s the shortest season.

I think fall is the only time of year that really draws me to go walking. It is so gorgeous out and the perfect weather, and only hear for a short time. We have to soak it up!

I’m in Dayton and I cannot stand Old Hickory haha it’s so gross. Glad to see you went to the Greene. If you haven’t been to the Pub at the Greene I would stop there before you head out!

Oh goodness, that is a salad? Ewww 🙁 Sorry. I know that the chicken does not look normal, and I’m from New England!
I just love your walking pictures!

I just moved from Dayton, OH a few months ago. I miss all the beautiful trails as well as my morning walk on Airway. Sadly, I never had a chance to try Old Hickory…but I actually heard the BBQ was great.
