I had an awesome workout on Friday! It was the kind of workout you feel so good about after. I went for a long walk and then went to the gym and did some drills. I always use the old basketball drills from high school in my workouts. I’m still feeling the burn from that workout and it’s Sunday!
After every workout, I like to get a nice dose of protein, and shakes are my favorite way to do it. It cools me off faster and it’s refreshing. Friday, I skipped out on the protein powder and made a yogurt based smoothie.
Ingredients: 1 cup of diced frozen pineapple, 1/2 cup of fresh blackberries, 8 ounces vanilla greek yogurt (you can use any flavor), 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 1 packet stevia, 1 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 1/2 cup ice cubes, and 1 tablespoon of honey on top!

I never thought of adding pineapple to my smoothies! Yum and the color of this is amazing! The drills workout you did sounds intense if you are still sore today!! What a great way to mix up your workouts! Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe!

I don’t think frozen pineapple is offered around here…might have to improvise.

You can buy pineapple at the store, dice it up and freeze it for smoothies.
