Lately I’ve been all about fixing old things up and making them presentable. I love the gold, rustic and antique look of things too. When Emilee moved in, she about threw this little corner piece out, and I told her we should fix it up. Since we are going with the black and gold theme, we chose those colors. I wanted to keep the antique/rustic feel, so I didn’t bother sanding it.
I just cleaned it off and spray painted it gold.
After spray painting it, I painted the edges of the shelf black. We put our alcohol on it and set it in the corner. We shopped around looking for an alcohol cart and couldn’t find one anywhere so this worked perfectly. It only took about an hour to turn this ugly looking shelf into something presentable. Think before you toss things out next time! I have so many more projects to post soon!
While the shelf was drying, I got bored and stared spray painting canvases. It looks like space exploded.

That looks amazing!!!! Can I buy this anywhere? Or how did Emily come across a piece like that? I need that in our bedroom because I have a corner that needs something desperately like that!

It was from a yardsale. You can try looking at consignment shops, antique shops, yardsales, or craigslist!
