It is a hot one today! But that’s not going to stop me from fitting in a nice long workout in the sun. Emilee and I are going to go on a seven mile walk and then tonight I’m going to go to a spin class. That is why it’s important to get in my protein and stay hydrated!
This morning I made a black cherry strawberry protein shake to have before the workout in the heat.
It has: 1 serving Genisoy protein powder, 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1 cup ice, 1 cup water, 1 packet all natural truvia blend black cherry drink mix, and a tbsp of chia seeds! Blend it all together and mix in the chia seeds!

I would imagine that you could use any other type of single-serve drink powder mix. Whatever sounds good.

1 cup peeled and chopped Fuji apple
3/4 cup light vanilla soymilk
1/4 cup fat-free vanilla Greek yogurt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. vanilla extract
1 no-calorie sweetener packet (like Splenda or Truvia)
1 cup crushed ice or 5 – 8 ice cubes
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend at high speed until smooth. Mmmm!
