Good morning, everyone!
I bet you can guess where I’m blogging from again. Yup! The treadmill. I’ve decided to make this my morning ritual as long as I’m here. I’ve also totally forgot about posting the recipe for the bourbon shrimp and broccoli I made a couple weeks ago for Samantha and I. I can’t promise this will be my last bourbon recipe, I’m going to the store tonight to pick up another bottle. It goes great with everything!
This was pretty much a 15 minutes fix with three ingredients. Can’t beat that! It takes more time to drive to and from a drive thru, so no excuses!
All you need is…
*1 lb uncooked shrimp (de-shelled and tails off), *4 cups steamed broccoli, *1/4 cup of bourbon marinade.
You could totally make this recipe with a different meat or additional vegetables! Make it your own.
In a frying pan on medium-high, add the steamed broccoli, shrimp, and bourbon marinade! Cook the dish until the shrimp is perfectly pink and done! Make sure the shrimp is fully cooked.
*Serve with rice!

Oooo this sounds amazing. I need to start buying shrimp again! Do you always buy fresh or do you use frozen? Where can I get this bourbon marinade? Is it a specific brand? Sorry for so many questions!! 😉

I don’t usually buy shrimp for home either, but I’d like to start too! Fresh or frozen? And do they come “deveined” with the tails off?
Vanessa says
Yes, you can definitely by shrimp peeled and deveined! Make sure for this recipe you purchase raw shrimp. I’d recommend a bag of shrimp (found at most local store) in size medium or large for the recipe. Should only cost you around $8-12 dollars. HAPPY EATING!
As for bourbon marinade, I found a bourbon marinade in my grocery store–Jim Beam. It was excellent!

Do you use the Bourbon BBQ sauce as the marinade or the actually seasoning?
Arianne says
I LOVE SHRIMP!! haven’t actually tried broccoli… like the actual one, instead of being in a frozen dinner.

how long do you spend on the treadmill each morning?
