This is completely out of order. I should be posting my photos from Derby Days first, but there are SO MANY! I’m so zonked from the weekend that I have no energy to do it all. I figured this little post is better than none at all. I haven’t had a go go go weekend like this in a long time. Its made me realize that I need to get out more often.
After the Derby Day event, we headed home and took care of the dogs. We all have pups! After taking them out, we headed uptown to the Peculiar Rabbit for the after party.
I ordered a Corona which was a bad call. I had like three sips and wanted to face plant onto the table and go to sleep like a baby.
Samanatha ordered a dessert-ish cocktail. It was pretty tasty! It was called the Peculiar Float!
It was 10pm by the time we had dinner. You Southerners will be proud of me! I had my first grit cake. I’m officially obsessed. Its kind of like a hash brown but made with grits. I can’t believe how well it went with my salmon. The salmon was served with a lemon herb wine sauce. It was a little overcooked, but I’m not one to complain 😉
After dinner, we turned into old ladies and decided to call it a night. We had too much fun the night before and during the day. That was enough for one weekend!
I’ll be posting my Derby day photos tomorrow!
