Boo! It’s almost Halloween!
I love making Oreo balls during the holidays. They’re super delicious and everyone’s favorite. If you have a Halloween party coming up, these Oreo balls will be a hit.
Oreo balls do not require many ingredients which makes them inexpensive. The balls are easy to pack into little baggies and they’re not messy like most desserts.
I make these several times a year. Especially on Christmas! You can find the Christmas recipe here. I added a peppermint kick to these.
There are several ways you can make these. I have my own way and others have theirs. A lot of people toss out the filling an replace it with cream cheese. I think that’s crazy! The filling is the best part of the Oreo. I love the filling so much that I grab the double stuffed. I don’t play around;) I’m also not too crazy about cream cheese. So I substitute half the amount of cream cheese for the Oreo filling.
*1 Package double stuffed Oreos, *1/4 Cup Cream Cheese, *1 Tbsp Water, *Milk Chocolate or White Chocolate Almond Bark.
Remove the fillings from the Oreo with a butter knife. The cream tends to stick to the blades and makes it harder to clean or break into pieces.
Crumble the Oreo cookies in the food processor or blender.
Add water, crumbled oreo, cream cheese, and filling to the electric mixer and mix on medium until dough is formed.
Don’t be afraid to do this with your hands if you do not have an electric mixer. I have done that many times.
Roll the dough into 1/2 tablespoon sized balls.
Use the stove or your chocolate melter to heat up the chocolate bark. Dip the balls into the chocolate and place them back on the wax paper to dry.
Decorate them with Halloween sprinkles or candy corn while they are wet.
Cut off the extra chocolate around the bottom with a knife.
I put them in mini Halloween cupcakes liners for an extra decor!
Recipe makes 32, 1/2 tbsp. sized oreo balls!
